I'm addicted...good deal or not?

I bought my first poster a month ago, big mistake cuz now I'm addicted. Saw this on craigslist, I checked on EB and couldn't find the lumberjack looking one, I disagree with the whole 'worth $193'...I did have the idea like the other guy that was pasting posters to the wall and had posters from the 90s (the ones taped to the telephone poles, not the silkscreened ones) but they were thrown out by a neat-freak parent. So the other posters might be cool...thoughts?

thanks

Ask for dimension to make sure they are full size and not the mini-posters.

do you really need 37 useless posters? it sounds like a crazy deal but... NOT, if you dig the 4 poster well go for it but the other 37 posters... good luck!

didn't your momma ever tell you that if somethin is too good to be true, it probably is?

I say don't do it. possible scam. also you're addicted now, and ok you're hot for the posters. but you need to zoom out...........put that money in a savings account to build. next year when you don't care about the posters you'll be thanking me.

Dont tell me about addicted. I went to the L.a shows and finally was able to buy a poster at the show I was at. Then Being as stupid as I am I checked Ebay. Now 204 posters later and I am not even going to add the money. I have almost all the Pearl Jam posters Ill ever need. They are under the bed well kept. And I on the coach cause my wife is going to kill me when she finds the 4 more poster tubes that are coming in the mail. Stay away from the posters untill the craving goes away. The posters get cheaper when the boys are not touring. NEVER buy during the tour.

  • be careful, the poster bug bites hard. http://www.expressobeans.com is the default site to track poster sales and their long term value. You can search for specific posters and can view who has them for sale/trade etc.

    I wouldnt go through craigslist.

Beware, this site will only make your addiction grow by an order of magnitude.

I justify it by telling myself (and my gf) that its "an investment," which is only a half-lie I guess. Most of these posters retain their value and there is definitely a market for them, but when your forced to the secondary market, thats when you generally get a case of buyers remorse.

I just sent you a message. I have some posters i was trying to sell on here a few months ago, then I moved from NJ to PA. These are Riot Act era posters. You're not gonna give me first dibs? ;) (right now looking for Seattle 2000 and 2003 *hint*hint*)

Thanks for the input guys, I don't think I'm gonna deal with this guy...like I said, I checked EB, and I'm only willing to give the guy $70 for all 4 PJ posters.

I sometimes wonder how large the "market" actually is. I've this strange feeling it ain't as big as some people suspect. As well, i don't see the value for most posters rising after the initial hysteria wears off.

This forum can make anything Pearl Jam related seem much larger scale than it actually is.

I've got a few gems from the 96-00 era that i've thought about selling but to me it's more about the memories. They seem to be staying about the same/slighlty decreasing value wise (i.e.Hartford '98)
