What? Sourced from that one guy running around filming and zooming with his semi-pro camera during shows?
Why not set up a touring band DVD project using fan-shot material (tried to do this in 2007 but did not get ahold of enough material).
3-4 songs per european date, cut togeather from all sources there are (cellphones/digicams etc) and you could get something cool.
Why not? Because the caliber of fan-shot content isn't high enough for a great DVD project. Why not? Because the band keeps refusing us to let us shoot videos. Why not? So the band can release a DVD. When? Probably not for a while... it's been three years since the last release. Best not to give us the option to shoot in the mean time.

Check out the fan made multi audience cam mix dvd for London 02 last year, its sooo good. If it was an organised effort it could be spectacular. You get shots from where you were in the venue and from all areas you wish you were!! Saying that tho, I vote for dvd/blu-ray bootlegs for every show made available like the audio ones we get (where are the 2007 boots!!!!!!!)

You haven't seen the Philly 4 fan DVD have you? While far from perfect, it used over 20 cameras and many songs and shots used are far superior to those on Touring Band and Showbox DVDs in my opinion. Other fan-made DVDs have also been quite impressive.

Check youtube and the hundreds of fan made dvds that have been made since 1990.
If they do make another DVD I hope it is done professionally like Immagine in Cornice and is not just a few crew people filming like Touring and Showbox.

Sorry, I exaggerated for much of that statement I made - what I really meant was that the band, by discouraging filming, ensures a lower caliber of fan-shot content than what would be available, had it been officially permitted.
