I just heard this on NPR this morning and thought it was funny. They were interviewing the woman who published the study that everyone took to mean if you listen to Mozart it'll make you smarter. This has been called The Mozart Effect. The author said:

"If you love Pearl Jam, you're going to find a Pearl Jam effect."

I know Pearl Jam has made me smarter! :D

Tee hee! I love it. So, if my now infant son ever needs to perform a very specific spatial task then I know he'll be alright for the first ten minutes as long as I play him some Pearl Jam. Phew! And there was me worrying about how we were going to afford the exorbitant University fees ;)

    Nice shout-out,
    + thanx for the link!
Does the Pearl Jam effect mean
    our babies will grow up
    craving red wine +
    American Spirits?
    They will be born with
an instinctual urge to rail against
    corporate greed + fight for
    fair prices?
    Cheers.
'Cause you don't give blood and take it back again.
