    Don't you guys have a massive military? Isn't there any way to develop a system where they are employed along sectors of the border as they train?

    The desert regions would be fantastic geographical replications of the middle east where you guys seem to like being.
    Well then we’d have to spend billions on building military bases along the border.  Not sure that’s the answer, I think we spend too much on our military already.  Besides, that would be apocalyptic looking, I think a simple barrier makes more sense.

    But the barrier will only prove to be one more challenge that can be overcome.

    I wasn't suggesting moving the entire military operation along your southern border. I was suggesting a strategically placed base (or more) to complement existing operations. With the military's existing technology, I'm pretty sure you guys could develop a strong role for them to play in this matter. I'm also thinking valuable training gets done while actively enforcing a border.

    And don't get me wrong... I am not saying employ the military to stomp out 'illegals' with deadly force.

    Anyways... I'm just speaking off the top of my head whether legitimate or not.

    What people are forgetting is that the repubs had a deal with Obama for immigration reform as it related to DACA and they walked away from it. Along came Team Trump Treason and the Dems had a deal with him for partial funding of his border wall. And Team Trump Treason walked away from it. Twice. All for a wall that Team Trump Treason promised Mexico would pay for. Fuck him and his base. Start the investigations and get the lying sack of shit impeached and removed. Team Trump Treason is not brilliant, a skilled negotiator nor worthy of the office.

    I don't think I understand where wall supporters' heads are at. Do they actually know that a wall will cost many times more than $5 billion? Are they expecting it to be $5 billion per year for eternity, or what? Because that's about what would be needed to build the wall over the next 6 to 12 years, and then to maintain it and police it after that forever, while people find other ways to enter America, if they don't just go under or over the damn wall. Have Trumpsters just not thought about that at all, or....? :confused: How can they not see that this $5 billion is a meaningless bullshit ask?
    And how do they react to stories like how Trump just recently suggested to someone that "THE WALL" is actually just a metaphor for "border security"?

    As much as I dislike Chuck Schumer he did say what I would agree with in needing drones, sensors, medical centers, patrols, facilities for processing etc.rather than waste money on a 30' high wall...
