They should scrap traditional games and this joke of a "season" and instead do something like weekly homerun derby or skills tournament challenges with players in their specific bubbles. Televise the shit out of it. Trying to make this season competitive is like playing roulette.
    It's a hopeless situation...

If they are going to cancel games due to one or two positive tests they will never finish. There had to be an expectation of some positive tests. Need to minimalisebut and isolate those as soon as posdible. Just seems like there is no definitive plan on how to deal with positive tests

My team has had zero players test positive and hasn’t played in a week. Makes no sense

Yeah but they also played a team that's sporting their own Covid roster (with backups!) and results can take something like 10 days to come back. This is all going down the toilet at some point regardless.

Damn. Mike Soroka out for the rest of the year with a torn Achilles tendon. Looks like the Braves are going to have to piece meal their rotation since it seems that Max Fried is the only starter remaining that can go longer than 4 innings.

If Newcomb can pull his head out his ass that would be another one.

With all the pauses taking place for teams having players test positive for Rona you will probably be able to get by with a 3 man staff pretty soon.

He's been a frustrating one to watch the last couple of seasons. He has the stuff to be a solid #2 or #3 in a rotation, but just doesn't seem to be able to put it all together. I bet the front office is saying, "Dammit, why did we DFA Foltynewicz so soon?"

I was talking to a buddy last weekend & had the thought that they should just do a tournament. Have the players quarantined for a couple of weeks to form a bubble. Single game elimination up until the CS/WS. Make those best of 3/5. That would be fun.

Since this isn't a real season that's not a bad idea.
