I like Smoltz. Definitely has his dad-joke moments but he does provide a lot of insight into different situations during the games.

Yeah, I enjoy his perspective. Definitely not the same old former-player point of view.

John smoltz, while much better than Mccarver, is horrible. He's the John madden of baseball. Over states the obvious. He completely lost me when he blamed the cubs shelling Kershaw in game 5 on "Kershaw has to be hurt." He wasn't saying that during game one.

And im getting to where I hate buck. I used to love him. But his dick sucking of certain players is horrific. You would have thought Corey kluber was a saint and better than every other pitcher who ever pitched in baseball during game one.

These umpires are embarrassing. Can't believe these are the guys for the world series. Strike zone all over the place.

Good thing there's no DH and we don't get to see fun baseball players continue to play baseball

What a game....tough win for Cleveland. Felt like the Cubs were getting the breaks.

Being a white sox fan, I've been pretty down on baseball the past few years. But that was an awesome baseball game right there. Playoff baseball is the best.

Baseball is the only sport where a one score game can be so much fucking fun (perhaps soccer too)

to your "point" though, cliff, I probably would have left Miller in. as I remember, the PH didn't do anything. but terry francona knows more than I.

these decisions make for a better (i.e. NL) game.

Shitty ending but by far the most intense/amazing sporting event I've ever attended. Saw Eddie walking along the catwalk behind the suites from my back of the lower level seats. Yelled Eddie and got him to stop and raise his hand up at my wife and I. Amazing moment amongst many tonight. Hope Cubs can tie it up tomorrow so when I go back Sunday it's a swing game.

That game was intense. Sucks to take the loss but what the fuck else is new in Cubs playoff games? Being in a bar in Wrigleyville packed full of Cubs fans all cheering as if we were at the stadium = priceless! (Well, kinda expensive actually, but ya know what I mean!)

I did, but I've softened a bit. Seeing the multiple generations and the old guys got to me a little. My grandpa, was barely old enough to remember '45 and my uncle follows them year in/year out and just has an incredible amount of baseball knowledge, so theres a few people I'd be happy for, but so many other fans(my mother included) have made it a point to tell me "Go!! Team that is playing the Cardinals" over the last several years. For the record, don't mind them rooting against my team, but I don't need to hear smack talk when their team is of little consequence.

Couldn't ever root for them, but I'm about as close as I'll ever be.

I had a feeling Cleveland had a better chance than most of the prognosticators seemed to think. I'm a Detroiter and they beat us like 34 out of 35 this year, it was disgusting lol.
They look to be just demoralizing the Cubs right now.

But hey, you have to win 4
