My MyCharity:Water campaign (Pearl Jam related)

Hey everyone, if you remember before the holidays Pearl Jam posted 10 worthwhile causes to donate your time or money to, this one I thought was a great cause. For those not familiar, they are a non-profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations. They give 100% of the money raised to direct project costs, funding sustainable clean water solutions in areas of greatest need. Just $20 can give one person in a developing nation clean water for 20 years.

I like clean water and I know you all do to! 1 BILLION people in the world don't know what it is, that sucks. $20 means one person can get clean water for 20 years, $250 means two families of six can get clean water, $5,000 means clean water for a community of 250.

So to keep this short and sweet, I know we all have bills and stuff, but if you have a couple dollars to spare, a donation would be great. I don't get anything from it, its just something good to do.     hmmm, maybe if I titled this WHERE ARE MY PHILLY BOOTS?!! it might get more views and responses LOL. I know these types of posts are easy to ignore... people don't have the spare cash now, some people only donate to certain charities, some waiting for when they feel like it... thats ok, like I said this isn't a contest for me, I don't get anything by having the most donations, but I did set a goal of $500 in 90 days, so if you guys don't mind I'll be bumping this periodically, not to nag, just because I think its a good thing to do for people that need clean water. So if you ever feel so inclined, hit the link and chip in! Thanks everyone.

    BUMP...$180 in a little over 2 weeks! Thanks to those of you who donated (mostly my family, LOL). If there's anyone else out there with a few spare dollars the campaign has about 2 more months, please help out. Thanks!
