I would rather see Tenacious D-- they rock and are funny at the same time. The Beastie Boys just give me a headache.

Worst replacement ever. It's so embarrassing that they are a headliner. They should be headlining a second stage at most.

A music festival should not be headlined by a comedy act. If it's announced beforehand then fine, but as a replacement? No one would have guessed it.

And the Jonas Brothers sell out MSG too, but it doesn't mean they should headline this festival.

They should of bumped Modest Mouse to the headliner spot and let Tenacious D back fill their day spot.

It's not really embarrassing at all. A headline act is a headline act, even if you don't wanna see it.

They should have just bumped Incubus to the headline spot.

Tenacious D is decent, but ?? That came out of left field. Talented, but not really on the same level as PJ/DMB/Tool that other festivals are getting.

But, probably every bit as popular, if not more, than the Beasties, who they replaced.

Have you listened to their music or seen their movie? They are the definition of embarrassing. We're obviously just going to keep disagreeing here, just as any two people have their own feelings on every band. If they replaced the Beasties at APW (which I went to last week), I would have been pissed.

  • Tenacious D puts on a hell of a show and make a fine Sunday closer. not Saturday or Friday, but Sunday is cool.

It is wrong on sooo many levels. I will stay for the show but I won't be as excited to get to the stage. Even MIA and Modest Mouse would have been a better closer. Embarrassing.

I'm more up for seeing Tenacious D than I was the Beastie Boys, but generally, I agree that they shouldn't be a headlining act for a major festival. There had to be better options out there. I don't agree with putting Modest Mouse as a headliner though, as they sound awful live a bulk of the time (and I LOVE the band's albums). If they were going to move someone from the lineup into that slot, Incubus would have been the best.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.
