that was a has been
that was a punch line of every joke
whose post-Thriller music we used to play in an ironic/ "oh my god, what was pop culture thinking" sort of way

he died, we payed our respects, and put the spot light on his accomplishments. Now can we go back to the way things were?

in honor of not taking Michael Jackson too seriously, I give you the front man of the Pulp to help put things into perspective: Jarvis Cocker.

Jarvis should have received a knighthood, for that.

He did make Bad after Thriller, which is another excellent album, but after that his music is rather scattershot.

  • I see it the complete opposite. I hope he never again, become a punchline. For the last 15 years he was a pariah, and accused of one of the most horrible things one can be accused of.

If there were proof, that would be one thing. But as it stands, the police ransacked his house TWICE. Lets not pretend they did a poor job. They ransacked it. And they interviewed 200 people. 200 witnesses. Not one corroborating witness was found. Not one incriminating photo was found in his house. His computer wasnt full of dirty and illegal websites. he didnt have books about illegal activities. And he had zero videos with incriminating things on them. He went to trial, and the jury basically threw the case out in a sense because of how ridiculous the accusation was. Michael supposedly slept with a kid in his bed every single night, in the years of 1987-1991. Every night. And no one

Jordan Chandler the first accuser didnt say "hey MJ abused me". It was his dad who initiated it. The kid confessed, not at a police station. He confessed after his dad, a dentist, gave him truth serum.

The second accuser, was fond of michael. But when the Bashir documentary aired, his classmates made fun of him, and his relationship with MJ. Magically, accusations fly, charges are files. Kids who have slept in his bed like Macauley Culkin and Wade Robson, and Brett barnes all say MJ did not act inappropriately.

I like to go by this thing, called innocent until guilty. I dont lead witchhunts against others just because others agree. I look at evidence. And the facts are no matter how wierd MJ was, the basis for the child molestation accusation was a kid who recalled abuse after being administred truth serum, and the other accuser, who had a mother who lied to police in the past and said Walmart guards sexually abused her and someone who said she was fearful that MJ and his staff would kidnap her and her son via a hot air balloon. Her behavior was so absurd the jury would often erupt in laughter after her tesimony and her often repeated lines like "It is burned in my memory".

Michael deserves to be remembered like he was during the memorial.

easy cowboy, I was leaving that part out of it

what i'm saying is that this guy shouldn't be put on a pedastal and be heralded as hero of the World when last month he was a hack. when the only difference between now and then was him dying.

Well, I think it's good people are focusing on his talent and music again instead of all the negativity.

    Well, it was suitably tacky.
