scroll downa bit
edit: your description matches that at auralexploits- just because you may have bought it there (or just saw it listed there) doesn't mean it's legit. they do sell bootlegs there, like this and this.
there selling on ebay as promo not bootleg .. and even in the fake sites pic of the record says "For Promotional Use Only" so is that a bootleg or a promo LP ?

its one of 1000 i guess ether way lol ..
I've no reason to doubt it, but I guess it's possible- you can't trust everything on the net.
From the bottom of the auction, the seller says:
On Jul-28-09 at 08:48:10 PDT, seller added the following information:
I have had several questions about how this isn't a bootleg. I assumed it wasn't because I bought it from Aural Exploits. I don't believe they deal in bootlegs. So that is the source of this record. I have been trying to get a hold of Aural Exploits to ask them about this.
I just showed you Aural Exploits sells bootleg vinyl. 10000 Days is a bootleg vinyl.
Don't get me wrong- nothing necessarily wrong with boot vinyl- in the case of 10000 it's not been put on vinyl officially, so I can see why people would want this. It's just not an official item, is all.
I took a drive to day so i got to think about this ...I get the this and this. link on the pearl jam .being called bootleg ... but what i am saying its hard to call something a bootleg when it was an" LP" to begin with .. why wouldn't Tool yell foul on this ?? that's my point on the bootleg but it might be why there calling it a promo ..
Ten Club sent me a promo of "Binaural" same LP cover same catalog number .. of the one i bought out the store !!. thanks ten club .. just saying ..

very nice ..
I spent 15 minutes typing a response to this only to lose it because this site decided to tank. Awesome.
Anyway, the gist was:
-A bootleg isn't just a live show. It can be any form of unauthorized material, even copies of real albums.
-Bands don't usually pursue bootleg suppliers as it's cost prohibitive and harder to do in countries that don't give a shit. You can buy bootleg copies of real albums in China for $1.
-While I don't doubt one bit your Binaural LP is legit (since it's from 10c), just because a LP/CD/whatever says "promo only" and the like does not mean it is legit. Bootleg makers often put those type of phrases on their product- it gets people interested and makes them think it's official.
-Your Tool LP is a bootleg. It will still be worth something to someone, though, because that album has not been officialy put out on vinyl and, due to the fact it's much harder to mass produce vinyl than CDs, the LP was put out in limited quantities. Just know that it's probably sourced from a CD and more copies will likely be put out down the road (though maybe in different packkaging or colors).
Your local news is next.
Damn, I paid about ten times that for the official release (black vinyl) a few years ago.
