Hey everybody,
I know Gomez will be opening for PJ in Europe...not suer if there is an opening act in Chicago which are the shows I'll be at...

Anyways, I've been really getting into these guys lately, and they're playing a show here at The Murray Theatre on August 5th for $16.50, so I plan on seeing it regardless. Has anyone seen these guys? Are they a good live act?

also, they're playing with a band called Blind Pilot, who I have also never heard of..

Yeah, that's about the Murray Theatre...a damn small venue. I've only seen one show there and it was Henry Rollins spoken word.

I saw Gomez live on Monday in Seattle. THEY WERE REALLY FANTASTIC. My husband and I were what I would call "casual fans" when we went. I came out of the show a total convert. They are amazing. I honestly don't know any of their names or anything, but the singers in this band are perfectly suited for each other and they have really beautiful and tight harmonies. The drummer is very very busy while on stage, he's not just keeping the beat, he's playing the drums as if they were an instrument. If that makes any sense. They use interesting sounds, like an alarm clock, in their songs.

I actually ran into a PJ fan there. If you're reading this, I'm sorry we didn't make our way back to you to share a beverage!
