Fighting To Get It Back Again

So after listening to "The Fixer" about 50 times now I have come to the following conclusions

1 Some people on this board need to get over the fact that the song is not the second coming they were apparently hoping for and just accept that the band is never going to revert to their older sound but continue to try new things whether they are popular or not...

2 It is NOT as bad as a lot of people are saying it is, I mean granted it is not the best song in their "database" but come on, some of you are just being a little too uptight here people, this is a band most of us have followed for a good while and we shouldn't be bashing them and saying we will basically give up all hope for them because your opinion of one song off the album is that it is sub par... this is ridiculous to me...

3 I am still looking forward to the album and the tour and will continue to stand by a band that always has and always will mean a lot to me....

4 The Fixer is still MUCH better than any song by Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, and many other bands

It is what it is! I happen to like it a lot, others happen to hate it quite a bit. If we all agreed about liking it, I'd say we're all drinking the Kool-Aid. If we all agreed about hating it, I'd say we're being too critical. This is good that we have some that love it, like it, are neutral regarding it, and hate it.. music is subjective!

My jury is still out, but I always take a while to warm up to new songs. That said, I am absolutely looking forward to hearing The Fixer played live in Toronto...one month from today!
