"World Wide Suicide" vs. "The Fixer"
Battle of the lead singles!
Obviously "The Fixer" feels new to us, but after listening to it all day, I think I have a good idea of how much I like the song (which is a lot!) I think I still like "World Wide Suicide" better, though. There was a period when I got sick of the song, but I've been playing it recently and digging it all over again. I like how all of the instruments seem to be playing to a different track, yet it still feels cohesive. Plus the lyrics are better, although I still love the optimism of "The Fixer".
So, which song do you like better? I'm fine with people not liking one or even both of the songs, but try not to be disrespectful.

That said, WWS is still FAR better than The Fixer.
only just listened to it cause I've been out all day, but have been checking in on here to see peoples comments.
I like it, much better than WWS which I though was very average when it came out (still do), one other persons comment was that WWS had dumb riff and has no hooks - I kinda agree.
From some of peoples comments about it being bubblegum pop etc... I expected "Shiny Happy People" when I pressed play. Instead got a pretty cool upbeat song that's gonna rock at live shows.
Sure it's going to appeal to more of a wider audience because of it's catchyness and simplicity, but that's not a bad thing, if it introduces new people to discover PJ and songs like Off he goes & Immortality then I'm all for it.
It's not the first poppy/cheeky song we've heard from the band - Chorus for Glorified G, Satans Bed, Mankind (No Code is my favorite but this song is just Mega Cheese and kind of unforgiveable
I like it.
I also think Got some is going to sound awesome.
(I know my typing is bad - it's late)
Im still a little 'confused' about the Fixer.
Everytime I listen to it I sorta just shake my head and think 'what was that'
WWS was/is a fantastic song. I do agree with you that the optimistic lyrics in The Fixer are great!
