... the more i'm diggin' "The Fixer."

It seems simple and poppy at first, but with each listen it takes on this bigger, broader life.

Can't wait to get it in my car so i can crank it.

;)

It's funny, I just had the song blasting out of my speakers trying to figure out how to play it on my guitar.

eh...growing on me, but I hate having to actively try to like it. Shouldn't be that hard with PJ - kinda bummed with this one it is. Glad you are all digging it.

It's different, but I think that's the beauty of it.

I don't mind when a song grows on me. Oftentimes, those are the songs i go back to again and again and again.

This is relatively unrelated, but Chris Cornell's "Scream" album was that way for me, too. The first time i heard it, i was all "Chris, what are you doing." But a few days later, while under some heavy inebriation, i put it on again. And though i conciously gave it an open mind (not really into the whole Timbaland/dance thing), the songs began to grow on me. Now, i find myself cueing it up on my mp3 player quite often.

And if you've not heard it, i strongly recommend the song "Enemy" -- a fuckin' killer tune.

i wasn't crazy about it on first listen b/c i was expecting that "in your face bitches" attitude like "Got Some".
After several listens it is slowly growing on me, i love the uplifiting melody and Ed's vocal delivery is great. I just wish the guitars didn't sound so polished and enough of the fade out you pussies!
I think more people will relate to the positve vibe of "The Fixer" compared to previous dark moody pearl jam songs.

ffs. I hated 'Houses of the Holy' when it first came out.

grew on me like a freaking sixth limb after.
