McCready on NYC radio on Tuesday

He will be on 101.9 WRXP on Tuesday morning, The DJ also said something that there will be NYC shows..He didn't say where or when he just said shows will be in the area...

we know about the radio interview already...but he said there will be NY shows?...i hope they play a bunch at Jones Beach again...that's an amazing place to have a concert...and it's nice and small...EVERY seat is a good seat

Jones beach sucks for a show, shitty venue and the sound there sucks, yes every seat is a good view..

Well Jim Koplick (a concert promoter in Connecticut) recently was asked about Pj and said "they are touring this fall, we are looking at the civic center or the arena at the casino." This guy is a pretty reliable dude.

it's a great venue...and the sound there is all but shitty...outdoor venues have clear sound...no echo...you can actually understand what ed says when he talks...no walls for the sound to bounce off of making it hard to decipher what he's saying...

i saw rush both there and at MSG with identical set lists and everything...the sound was a lot better at Jones Beach than at the garden...only thing i don't like about outdoor shows is the energy level is not as high...other than that i prefer out door shows...

and i've sat at the way top corner at a Jones Beach show they were still a good view

and yeah the no alcohol sucks but i'm a minor so that doesn't effect me...

if it helps...Jones Beach is a GREAT tailgating venue...so just get trashed prior to the show...if you feel you must...pre-parties can take place in the parking lot before the show

Interesting. he has proven to be reliable in recent years. More shows in the Northeast makes sense for November...

Tailgated there before in 2000 and me an my friends were being harrassed by park police, friend actually got a ticket for helping somebody park, they told us that the parking lot people will do there jobs, I saw rush there too in 2002.. I just don't like the sound there, I do like the sound at the PNC arts center though..Its a matter of opinion..

that venue sucks ass. the upper deck seats are so bad. i saw blink-182 with bad religion and fenix tx in 00 at jones beach and my seats sucked. they werent that high in the upper deck but the bands were ants and so was the jumbotron screens. the krock dfp a few years back was fun there. jones beach lost its luster when they add the upper deck

maybe mike is playing a club tour with his band shadow or maybe pj is doing a club tour

Would seem strange that he would be on the radio in NY and not have any NY PJ shows, I doubt they would tease the fans like that. If not this year , next year for sure.

dude I have seen you quote this guy 10 times in 10 different threads... CT is not getting any shows. Just because he may make an offer does not mean PJ Mgmt accepts it....

I remember when the company name associated with this venue was miller genuine draft.
there once was a time when you were able to pull out a blanket and go lay on the sand and hear the entire concert uniterputed or bothered.
no more.,
the venue has long lost the sense of intimacy it once had.
they keep building up on top of it, ....
getting larger and larger every summer.
It run by a bunch of knuckleheads,
maybe ( hopefully ) pearl jam realizes most of all of this
even tho we are spoiled by fan club allocation of tickets,
not everyone is satisfied with this and has to resoprt to their own devices in acquiring tickets.
i tried sleeping out there in that tourstop of 3 nights,
but the state troopers turned us away at the front and said to return at sunrise .
i pulled off the side of the loop parkway ( the circle around the needle ) and rested until just before sunrise.
but by the time we drove up to the front, there were 6 cars inline and the sun hadnt fully risen yet.
Youd think we woulda been in the top 10 online.
WRONG.

The scalpers had tents pitched and had obviously been alowed in when we were turned away overnight.


The folks immediately in front of us on the mystreriously extended long line
admitted to us that they indeed werent fans they were in line for someone.
They later got a delivery from some shady slooking dudes with multiple cell phones and bags of donuts ;
bagels and coffeee for all of them .
I shit you not, they all were securing all the max number of tickets at the box office than everyone waiting in line after them .

Bottom line, this place has been run in the past by some shady people somewhere along the lines, getting preferential advantageous perks that even the biggest diehard out there couldnt contend with.
I was able to get what I was looking for, but these folks were clearly there for reselling purposes .

anyhow i shot these yesterday as i drove by and i remembered that entire fiasco,

i still hope PJ doesnt play there unless its a fanclub only show.
