Is Mike left handed?

My mum said she saw some footage of Mike signing autographs left handed, but obviously he plays guitar right handed. I'm not sure what footage this was, maybe the 'Immagine in Cornice' DVD. I remember him coming out and signing stuff on that DVD, but a friend is borrowing it so I cant check.

Anyone know if this is true? :?:

i dont know about that right off hand/ no pun intended. But its not uncommon for people to play guitar or do anything with their less dominant limbs. Im right handed but I skate goofy. My buddy is left handed but plays guitar right handed. Im right handed but ....... left handed.

Have also seen Mike write with his left hand.

Left handers seem to be able to adapt better to right handed instruments (eg guitars, manual cars etc) but I know i can't do anything that involves the left hand being the primary tool!

    Yes... he is.
He writes with his left hand and throws with his right... I do the same.
I asked him about that and he said his first guitar was a right handed guitar and that's just the way he learned to play it.
    ...
Also, Chris Shifflett of the Foo Fighters writes with his left hand.

  • A lot of lefties play right handed guitar because their dominate hand is doing all the fretting.

And a lot of them picked up a Right Handed guitar and learned on it.
There are more right handed guitar players out there, so there are more right handed guitars out there. More in the Recyclers, pawn shops and musical instrument stores.

Hendrix and McCartney are lefties too. My son a lefty, started playing it upside down but switched to right when he began formal lessons at 6 but still switches it up even after 7 years.

I play a left handed guitar... my younger brother plays a right-handed guitar, left-handed.
I wish I would have just learned to play right handed. There are more guitars to choose from and when I go to places like Guitar Center... I can't play the really nice Martin guitars because they are all right handed. the only leftys are the 200 dollar Fenders.
    ...
Also, i throw right and bat right... that's because we used to share baseball gloves and no one had a left handed glove.... and we would close right field.
I can still throw pretty acurately with my left hand... but, not as well as my right.
