i've always had this question and have yet to figure it out and it's killing me!

WHERE THE FUCK DOES LETHERMAN FIT INTO THE MAN TRILOGY!?!?!

Letherman is about some dude who traveled from up state NY to somewhere in CT back and forth...but it has nothing to do with the story that Betterman and Nothingman tell...abusive relationship, guy (the abuser) realizes how he took her for granted and he wants to fix things.

it seems like Deadman would be a better 3rd installment...why is it letherman?

Dead Man is Dead Man Walking so techinically it's not a "man" song.

    betterMAN
    nothingMAN
    leatherMAN

cause they all have the word man at the end of the song title
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • i've never seen it called Dead Man Walking on any song list released by the band on boots or official release...

and i know it's not a man song but i'm asking why isn't it? and how does letherman fit into the man trilogy?

but betterman and nothingman go together as a story line and then letherman is far from it

Better Man and Nothingman have nothing to do with each other. Like Metsy said, the only reason is because they end in "man"

and we're saying...it fits in because it has "man" at the end. That's it. I don't think there's a deep hidden meaning or any thread connecting the songs otherwise.

Several songs by PJ have the same underlying theme. You could almost link any 3 songs together if you wanted to.

Learn how to spell "leather." Fairly simple, when one thinks. Any moron should have passed the e with a situation as a preteen. Going to some shit NY school, no?

maybe we can get the mods to sticky it so it stays relevent...

was fun to see Ed continuing the tradition with a love-themed trilogy during his most recent leg of the solo tour, i.e. You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, Can't Help Falling in Love, Let My Love Open the Door,...

only stuck up bricks care about spelling and grammar on the internet...yes it's a title and deserves to be spelled correctly, but on the internet, let the error go undetected...

as for the school remark, just let the intel semifinal and finalists tell you how shitty NY schools are...

Ha. Spelling and grammar exhibit the validity of an argument.

Why should these things go undetected on the internet? Is breeding idiots a good thing for society?
  • how does spelling make an argument valid? i'm sorry but the last time someone won a debate with me, they won it with facts and logic. spelling does nothing to one's credibility...

they say Einstein sucked at spelling...does that make his theory of relativity implausible?...fuck no...

if two people handed me an essay, each arguing a diffrent side of an issue, i'd side with the one who i agree with more based on their logic and the facts they site, not the one with the least amount of spelling and grammatical errors

EDIT: oh and if you're so concerned with "breeding idiots" then politely give them a little FYI, don't insult them or insult where they are from. i mean talk about idiocy...

It's fairly obvious you do not understand the point I'm making. I stated that spelling and grammar exhibit the validty, rather than make the point of an argument. See the subtlety of my syntax? Dude, just submit. You are some high schooler and I'm an Ivy League educated lawyer. You can't win. The arrogance, and ignorance, you show will soon be mitigated. It's called education.

touche on that last post, and you have used your law school education to good use, using the word exhibit which in a context like that get someone to think yo are saying one thing, when actually using the word exhibit as a specific and literal meaning.

but despite that, you were still rude about it. and as a lawyer, i'm sure you wouldn't invalidate the credibility of a person's argument by insulting them...it's unprofessional (much like spelling/grammatical errors) which in turn fails to exhibit validity in an argument...

oh and you also said my spelling invalidates an argument, when i didn't have an argument at all...it was a question...so why even mention the word argument? there was none until you insulted me, in which the spelling error you originally pointed out wasn't a part of that argument

Ohh a ivy league lawyer with a stick up his ass. Why am I not shocked.

Wow so he left out a letter, big deal.

I find it pathetic an ivy league lawyer has nothing else to do on a saturday night then be a troll on a message board.
