It's cool to see the ad for Pearl Jam on the right hand side of the home page to Facebook.

    All that means is that you're searching or commenting about Pearl Jam a lot.

    If you're talking about the LA Lakers a lot then you're going to get LA Lakers ads on the side.

    It's basic target marketing and it's how Facebook survives.

    Same for twitter. I couldn't get through to pearljam.com when they announced the tour, so I had to search on twitter to read tweets about individual cities that were announced. Just tweet the tour and save me 20 minutes refreshing.

    Guess they are just not into that, because they don't have to be, they're already huge and people will come no matter what. But as an internet junkie, I prefer bands that live in the 21st century.

    I agree, I wish the band would focus on new media to spread their news. Using older way to publicize is not working anymore.

    i agree melva02.

    when the site was down the other day i saw foxymop was on facebook so i was bugging her if she knew the PJ news. kinda funny. i was all excited. but what was i thinking? ....if i can't get on why would she be able to?
