Set Lists for up coming tour

It will be interesting to see if the set lists will be similar for each show. Last year's tour was the first time I ever said to myself that the set lists were very similar to previous shows on that tour.

I wonder if there is 4 philly shows, would the set lists vary or be similar so all can see similar show - that has not been there style in the past, but after last year, who knows

    Being a small "tour" I think it will have a similar feel to 2008......the main set will be about 20 songs nailed down and rehearsed........you will get about 15 of these on any given night. the other 5-10 songs are open to anything.

    In the three shows I attended last year I actually picked up more rarities than in 2006.........

    well i mean i've noticed lately the band (mostly ed) would get into these...fads (for lack of a better term) where he'd play a song or a few songs practically every show...wasted reprise, no more, WMA, who you are, etc...there were a lot of them on the 08 tour...(or at least it seemed like it)...so we will hear a lot of repeats in that regard

    They tend to play the same core songs (i.e the hits. crowd movers etc) then they will change around the rare ones depending on the occasion, where they are playing and how good the crowd are.

    I don't think you'll ever see the massive amount of covers like you did in '03. I think that had more to do with the band admitting the overall weakness of Riot Act. Not that RA was necessarily a bad album, just that the songs didn't seem to say what Ed was feeling at the time. Hence the large number of overtly political covers.

    they always have and always will majorly mix it up. every tour has been phenomenal. we'll see some fabulous setlists.
    2006: Hartford
    2008: MSG 1, Hartford, Mansfield 2, Ed Solo NYC 1
    2009: London (O2), Philly 1, 2, 3, & 4
    2010: Hartford, Boston, MSG 1 & 2
    2011: Ed Solo Hartford
    2012: Philly (MIA Fest)
    2013: Worcester 2, Brooklyn 1 & 2, Hartford

    They'll probably pull some out of the grave like they did with WMA and Who You Are last year, hopefully they resurrect Deep, maybe add some Brother or Just A Girl. They'll obviously mix in most of the stuff off of Backspacer, you'll probably see less stuff of off Avocado and Riot Act.

    There will definitely be a third, with the likely chance of a 4th if they all sell out.

    they admitted riot act was weak? i thought they just played a lot of covers that tour, as they usually do, because if not they could have played any number of songs they normally dont play off of previous albums
    it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...

    I think this would be pretty pretentious if they did so. Just some Bruce songs should be left alone, unless they're going to do a total 180 on the song - like Marah did. They're version of "Streets" is better than Bruce's.
