Spectrum is selling the suites.

$275 for 12 people..and $140 to add 2 SRO.

that comes w/food & drinks

the show is in THE ROUND..they are selling ALL SEATS
and there will be NO BACKDROP.

he is emailing me the specs today...so, before you spend $200 on stubhub..this
might be a viable option.

Also, he mentioned there will be a VIP tent outside for the Friday show...and the suite
comes with a "gift from the band".

no word on the tent for Saturday yet...

I think that guy is just going off the chart on the website. NO WAY (IMO) they will be playing in the round. I'll gladly eat my words but it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY they will play anything other than an end stage.

there's a big difference between being "in the round" and just selling all 360 degs. worth of seats.

if you were told that there wont be a backdrop, then it means its a standard PJ arena show, stage on one end of the basketball court.

"in the round" is what Metallica does, stage at center court, sometimes rotating, with the drummer in the middle and the other members standing on the outside.

unless they have a roating stage. (cant picture that can you?) then it sucks for 50% of the fans in attendance. Give me my end stage until Ed gets out his Fly costume enters from a giants lemon or disco ball and plays as his alter ego Mr. MacPhisto.

After thinking about this for awhile, I think it might just be a mix up on what they are saying.

Maybe they are saying it is in the round, meaning an endstage with seating behind the stage, hence no backdrop. Still "In the Round", just off center. It still sells all the seats.

    That's my 2 cents.

Open wide then ;) ....feel free to bug the guy @ the Spectrum VIP suites.

tells me they just got the specs from the band on the show...i was typing what he was reading to me.

since they are playing in the round it opened a whole other section of suites.

Don't buy that VIP crap. You're basically paying $200 for three hours of Bud Light and hot dogs.

I guarantee there will be decent/good seats on this board the week of the show for face or lower, maybe even 10-C seats.

im seeing Metallica @ MSG in November and im stoked if the stage setup ur describing is what it turns out to be...i wouldnt mind seeing the same for PJ as long as Matt gets to sing more and/or more drum solos/intros

He's ripping you off...my guy over there said $225 for a suite..

"We have club box seating for $225.00 per person. The box holds about 40 people. It will come with Beer, Wine, Soda and a fully catered buffet. Food and beverage will be served for 3 hours, starting an hour before the show begins.

Also, we’ll have some suites available for the show. Club Suite A holds 20 people and will run you $235.00 per person—the difference here is this suite will only be your friends…a bit more private. Both options are lower level seating"

They are jacking the price up for the possible 31st show. A friend of mine already made reservations for the 31st and said it was $285.

    Fingers crossed for TenClub seats!!

well, i can picture it, but IMO it would be so unlike them, so no, I don't think it will happen. And it would suck for a good portion of the fans

maybe they will add blinking lights a smoke machine a giant lemon and hang cars from the celing. Or they could build a bridge, heart catwalk type thing out of the main stage and Ed could pull girls out of the audience that we pre-arranged but make it look like it was random and then have them dance with him to a cover of with or without you?

Its annoying to read comments from people who obviously don't know what they are talking about.

There is a difference between "suites" and "club box packages".

The club box packages are cheaper because its not "private". You share the club box with 44 other people (each of the 2 holds 45).

The private suites range in price based on the size of the suite 12, 14, or 20. The smaller the suite the more it is per person. You can add additional tickets for $140 each. So if you have a 14 person suite you can add a few additional tickets at the lower price but those people will not have a seat. There is no "marking up" the 31st prices.

The other difference between the 2 is that in the club box packages you get unlimited food and beverages (based on whatever they put on the menu). With the suites you get a certain amount of food and beverages based on the package that you pick. So for a 12 person suite or a 20 person suite you get the same exact amount of food. If you get a 20 person suite and add 6 standing room tickets you better plan on bucking up for more food.

So there you have it, cut out all of the bull$hit with the hear say.

And yes, the 31st will happen.

only problem is finding a Mr Macphisto costume that comes in white denim jeans rather than the normal metallic gold.

I called the Spectrum and they told me it was definitely in the round with about 20 rows on the floor on sides and then the regular seats. I don't know how they are going to pull this off, just going but how it was described to me.

  • F those suites! I think they suck. I've been in them before for various concerts/flyers/sixers. people aren't even paying attention the concert, they're just there because they think it's cool. at least that's been my experience.

Are you serious? This is getting crazy.

Adding to the confusion, the Green Day show, which I KNOW is end stage, as they sold the floor GA, says "Location: Spectrum End Stage."

The Pearl Jam one says "Location: Spectrum Center Stage."

I'm still thinking this is a Spectrum screw-up.

MSG had no backdrop since there were people behind the stage, so that's probably what it means.
There is no way they are playing in the middle of the arena .. I just don't see that happening.
