Because they screwed up, all sales are NOT final if you bought tickets that were behind the stage. I just had my set of tickets refunded to me. I can listen to Pearl Jam without seeing them at home.

Them refunding your money proves it's not center stage, right?

CJMST3K, all sales are FINAL of course. You may be absolutely right, just passing along what I was told. I am happy in section 223 - sort of stage right/back if end stage and in the middle if center so all is well. :D

Haha... that is what they say.

Of course, when I traffic was mismanaged at a Radiohead show preventing us from getting into the show until 10pm, I fought tooth and nail with the Nissan Pavilion's box office manager for a full refund because they delayed entry. They said they weren't giving any refunds... but with persistence I got a full refund from them, then pursued Ticketmaster, and got a full refund from them too, even though I caught a bit of the show.

Keep in mind, your credit card offers you protection. If you bought tickets based on the show being described "center stage" and now the stage is not as described, you can call your CC company and have them dispute it with the box office, and chances are you will win.

Just FYI. Don't abuse it, but that may help.

Thanks. Yes, over the years I have dealt with many venues and management companies so I hear exactly what you're saying ;) . This usually bodes well for the holder. Just called the Spectrum AGAIN and this time (4) she said "END" stage and I pursued with my ticket confirmation saying "Center" and she said no, definitely END and she didn't know where they got that. For what it's worth, ha ha. So right back where I started at 10:00 am :lol: . This could be the best seat yet, LOL!

Wouldn't it be great if we belonged to a fan club that actually cared about the fans and answered these very simple questions? If I were in this situation I would PM Santos and Rubysdad until I got an answer, because the box office isn't providing one, and this is affecting people plans.

That is correct, PJ will not be using a center stage setup.

I was fortunate enough to get two tickets in 320 for the 10/30 show when they opened up the secions behind the stage. I'm excited to simply be in the building, but will the seats suck the life out of the experience. I bummed about not seeing the front of the band, but will it sound different?

And I apologize to any of you who didn't score tickets to the shows. I'm not complaining about my seats. I just haven't seen a show at the Spectrum in many years (Guns N' Roses in 1992 and Live around 1996).

    Thanks.
    You will try.

I haven't been back there before, but the sound should be great. They'll probably fly the speakers from the rafters immediately surrounding the stage, and because seats behind the stage are closer than the other half of the arena, you'll probably have relatively crisp sound. :)

Here's a link to where Comcast is emphasizing it is an End Stage Event.

    http://ev15.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerc ... event_page

Still in the round, just off center....and no spinning stage or heart shaped runways.

I've called there 5 times in total and 4 out of the 5 they said center. Even my ticket confirmation says Center Stage. However, I completely agree that it seems impossible given the size of the band and equipment to pull it off without taking up most of the floor space. And in 18 years of seeing them, I really don't ever remember a center stage anywhere (of course I don't remember whole years either). I'm going to go along with it being an end stage setup for the Spectrum.

^^Can you please explain what is meant by "off center", Jeff?

They are playing a normal endstage but are selling the seats behind the stage. So technically it is a "In The Round" show, but the stage is off center so to speak. I think Comcast didn't explain it properly to the customer service reps that all sections would be sold in an end stage set up. Just my guess....

Thanks Jeff. That makes sense. Wonder how many comcastix people quit today, haha. We are indeed a crazy breed.

I posted this in another thread, but here goes.

I received my confirmation email from Comcast which says Center Stage and tickets will be mailed. Then it says tickets are paperless for the Miley Cyrus tour and tickets will be picked up in person. It's full of mistakes, so I called Comcast and the guy told me Pearl Jam is END STAGE, not Center and tickets will be mailed. He apologized and said they didn't update all of their info on the site and in the auto-generated emails from the Miley Cyrus sale so some information was incorrect. Hope that clears it up.

Typically "In The Round" means a stage in the middle of the venue, with no back and no front. This is completely different (and normal) with the end stage. They simply should have said "Tickets being sold 360".

I refuse to go back there anytime soon, unless of course PJ is playing there....
