Does anyone know for sure what the stage set up will be for these shows? According to one Wachovia Center web page, its an end stage event: http://www.wachoviacenter.com/events/ev ... s/4436.asp

And according to another its a center stage set up: http://ev15.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerc ... 000000FBWz

Which is it?

  • Correct me if I'm wrong... Pearl Jam has never played with a center stage. It's not really their style. They might as well add some pyrotechnics if they go center stage.

Also, they sold the seats behind the end stage last. If it was a center stage they would have sold everything right off the bat.

Maybe just the 30th is center stage because it is a special event, last ever show in the building (meaning no third show) and Pearl Jam wants to spice it up......extra intimate affair

I called and was told that the concert was an end stage event. I pointed out that it said center stage and was put on hold. The guy came back and confirmed that it was indeed end state. Tickets are already on stubhub claiming to be dead center for a center stage setup. The buyers of those tickets are going to be pissed when they show up.

I called too and was told it was a center stage set up. But the women on the phone saw how their website stated two different things. I'm demanding a refund if this is not a center stage event.

It's dumb, but I think the "Center Stage" thing is like a nickname, hence why it's listed in the headline.

The seating chart was end stage, PJ always does end stage, and to my knowledge The Spectrum concerts are always end stage.

Its going to be end stage. PJ Dont play center stage.

If everything pointed to center I would think it were center. But because there are conflicting reports, and based on PJ's history, Id say with certainty it will be end stage.

I'm sure that someone would gladly take your tickets. Behind the stage seats are not bad for a pearl jam show. The only bad part is when the guys turn to you and play last kiss.

Its end stage according to customer service, but A LOT of people are calling upset, stating that they would have never purchased these seats if they knew they were behind the stage. Clearly they screwed up and will have to address the problem. The customer service rep is calling me back after he hears back from the box office.

Given it seems the behind the stage tickets were some of the last ones available, it seems the best available seating was based on end stage.

I hope its center though, that would a nice bonus as I would be alot closer to the band then I expect to be now. But I would figure 10c certainly would have made not of a center stage configuration before the sale.

Isn't that the Wachovia Center vs the Spectrum pics?? No I guess the basketball set up threw me. I called the Spectrum and it was explained to me that it is center stage with 20 rows back around on floor and then the regular seats. I don't get the set up but either works - end stage even better for me in Section 223.

  • Actually I heard its a rotating stage that moves from the center to the end stage. I also heard Eddie state once that he admired Garth Brooks theatrics during his performances. So expect him to also get hoisted in the air from some cables and float above us in the crowd.

Nope, he will exit the venue with a Jet Pack after he smashes thru the ceiling with a microphone stand.

Yeah the 400 level is tiny, all the way up. 300 is the middle, 200 low level.

I have been going to concerts for at least 36 years now, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how all five of them plus equipment and techs are going to play on a center stage. Anyone know someone that works there and can confirm what the set up is? I called twice and the second time got someone who described the entire setup by rows and I kept asking but ..., but ..., but.... and she answered saying the band wanted to get the most people in so they decided to do this. Whether it's logistically correct or even drawn-up yet, I have no idea. But thank you Pearl Jam for giving us oldsters, who tend to bitch alot about postcards etc, a chance to see you at the nearest show to home this year. At 10:50 this am I was at my fuck it point. Came on here and saw there were tix available to find the change had been made and more opened up. I really don't give a shit anymore scored decent seats side/behind the stage in the 200 section and either way still get that rush whenever it's a score. I think being a fucking junkie would have been cheaper after 18 years of this shit.

I am guessing they are not describing it correctly, and that the band is selling it 360, but that does not mean center stage. They're probably gonna have a lot of returned tickets because they screwed up the description.

CJMST3K, all sales are FINAL of course. You may be absolutely right, just passing along what I was told. I am happy in section 223 - sort of stage right/back if end stage and in the middle if center so all is well. :D

Haha... that is what they say.

Of course, when I traffic was mismanaged at a Radiohead show preventing us from getting into the show until 10pm, I fought tooth and nail with the Nissan Pavilion's box office manager for a full refund because they delayed entry. They said they weren't giving any refunds... but with persistence I got a full refund from them, then pursued Ticketmaster, and got a full refund from them too, even though I caught a bit of the show.

Keep in mind, your credit card offers you protection. If you bought tickets based on the show being described "center stage" and now the stage is not as described, you can call your CC company and have them dispute it with the box office, and chances are you will win.

Just FYI. Don't abuse it, but that may help.
