I can't believe anyone who actually lives in the area actually put down Geno's. I live two blocks from there and never go there unless they're doing a benefit for the police. There are so many better options than that tourist trap.

within walking distance from the parking lot is Talk of the Town (3020 S. Broad Street). They make a great cheesesteak. The meat is flipped, not chopped.

    thanks for all the info!

And you don't need a car to tailgate. Just grab a 30 pack and tag along with another group. We are friendly in Philly unlike some may say. Just don't come wearing another teams gear and talking trash and you will be ok.

yep... that's the way to roll.... someone will adopt you ;)

The reality is that if you go into any pizza place in South Philly you can probably get a decent cheesesteak. They're all competing with each other to try to make the best one. When you get into town, just ask a local for his/her favorite place.

Jim's on South St might be good, but, be warned, the lines are out the door, around the corner and down the block.
