Toronto Tailgating?

Going to be driving up from NYC for the Toronto show and was wondering if tailgating is possible at the venue. Some places are asses about it (see Mansfield) but others seem to be cool with it. Anyone been to shows at the Molson? It's named after a beer, so they must allow it! If so, I'll be watching my Live Pearl Jam Power Hour waiting for the concert. Cheers.

If there is no booze involved and you just want to cook up some food the parking lot will do just fine. Drinking in public is illegal in Ontario for some stupid reason and you will get fined. If you want to drink you are better off coming to the preparty just up the street.

From what I hear its not tailgating-friendly

Mansfield tailgating was so disappointing last year. There is no other reason to visit that town besides seeing a concert, and that is how they treated people? I don't don't know where they trucked these "security guards" in from either, but I've never before seen so many mullets in Massachusetts.

Be careful - I've seen many a blind eye turned to partying before shows in T.O., but the joints seem to be ignored in favour of the drinking tickets. I guess its easier to spot and prove, etc.

There is a massive lot on site which services the Canadian National Exhibition (which your ticket gets you entry to), however it will be a MESS getting out that night as it is the opening night of the fair. You can park in the downtown area and take a street car into the Ex. If you don't mind walking 10-20 mins, there are some residential neighbourhoods to the north where you may find street parking.

I actually had a blast at the Mansfield 1 tailgate. We got there super early, so we were in the far corner of the free lot. Which meant we could see the security cars coming from a mile away and just closed the trunk (with our beers in it).

Dont drive to the venue!!! I cannot stress this enough!!! Take transit or walk. Traffic is going to be a mess that night. And if you do happen to find a spot close to the ampetheatre, you will need a small loan to pay for it.
This sidewalk is for regular walking, not for fancy walking!

    I echo these sentiments

1 - come to the pre-party, do not drink in the parking lot
2 - avoid driving down there, the opening of the Exhibition will make that area a ZOO !!!

+2. Feel free to smoke a joint anywhere in the area though, assuming a cop isn't sniffing around immediately in front of you.
Anyone know how early I should get to the venue in order to secure myself a poster?

Park away from the venue or wait for 2 hours to get out afterward...up to you...

For people who need parking there is a public lot very close to the pre party in Liberty Village. There is also a large grocery store (Metro) in liberty village that has a large parking lot. The grocery store is open 24 hour so there are always cars parked there so they probably wouldn't notice u.

Go to google maps and look up Allen Lamport Stadium and you see the public lot I am talking about. It is very close to the pre pary and the venue
