I'd blame it more on a bunch of out-of-towners getting tickets to close OUR historic arena. apparantly PJ and their managment doesn't care if local fans get in, just that people do. but that's just my opinion. you can have your lousy opinion as well.

No shit they don't care. They're only playing one city on the goddamn east coast. What kind of retard logic are you trying to use? Obviously a lot of out of towners are going to show up in this instance!

i was just responding to the original poster who said it would be 'your fault' if you don't get tickets which I though was a crappy comment by the dude.

His point was that these shows have a lot of sentimental meaning to the philly locals . . . not as much to the out of towners who havent grown up going to the Spectrum and have no clue of its history and relationship to the city.

what kind of logic do you and the original poster use? how is a ridiculous demand per the number of tickets for these shows my fault if i get shut out? seriously, the Spectrum holds about 16,000 for concerts and you are including the whole east coast fan base and god knows how many other out-of-towners trying for tickets and it's my fault if i am not one of the 16,000. i guess it is my fault that PJ is so damn popular and only chose to play in Philly (at least at this point) - interesting logic guys but whatever.

thank you for seeing my side. Look I don't bemoan PJ or 10C for doing tickets this way but to say it is my fault for not getting tickets is crazy talk. the demand for these FAR FAR outweighs the number of tickets - it is what it is and it sure as heck is not my fault.

I am the original thread starter. It will be ur own fault if you are not inside for these shows. try harder. check the website numerous times a day everyday
personally i think that its weak on pearl jam's part. Half their songs lyrics go against the whole money and corporate thing and its exactly what they are doing with higher ticket prices and allowing corporations to get early access to tickets. My company got 30 tickets earlier this week. i was able to get 2 to wednesday show, so i lucked out, but its BS, i overheard people saying oh yea ill prob sell these for 200 bucks online. i wanted to punch the dude in the face.
it might show in the intesity of the crowd. a bunch of casual fans that can only name 5 songs by them. not one of my 15 friends that tried got thru on 10c tix or public sale. and were all from philly. the internet is taking away from the real fans. they should go back to standing in line at the venue.
they can totaly say, we'll play here if you also sell tickets at the venue the day they go on sale. its F'ing pearl jam, they have the power to do that.
being a pearl jam fan from late 90's to early 2000's was the best. They were rocking out big venues and it was easy to get tickets and real fans were at the shows.
bummer pearl jam
whats next eddie, bono sunglasses?
This site is unbelievable. I mean shit, I was able to get Hampton Phish tickets. It's not exactly like I have no idea what I'm doing. Nothing will fucking load though.
As an aside, this piece of shit site sure makes Ticketmaster look good. I just wish this was as easy as Columbia, VA Beach, and DC tickets were last year!!!
you cant really complain about the tix prices. Most shows have all different prices. Would you rather pay $150 for floors and $125 for sec 100 ( I dont think there is a sec 100 but u know what I mean) and then you could pay $65 to sit behind the stage. I like the 1 price for all the tix

Tickets for the 10/30 show were such a nuisance to get, for both 10C (which I wasn't fortunate enough to get), and the regular on-sale. I eventually did get lucky after the 10am ticket rush around 11:15am, with two pairs behind the stage (better than nothing!). If you got shut out, I'm happy to either sell my extras for face or trade them for a pair of 10/31's IF that show happens (and of course, if I'm not lucky enough to get my own through 10C or otherwise).
