Spectrum Box Office vs. Comcasttix.com? Any thoughts?

Got shut out of TC tix for Philly yesterday. I was wondering what other Philly-area folks thought about the advantages of going right to the Spectrum Box Office tomorrow morning rather than trying to purchase online through Comcasttix.com?

I think the decent seats, at least, will sell out very quickly online. So if you're going to the venue box office, you might want to go real early to make sure you're up front in the line.
"They said ... timing was everything
made him ... want to be everywhere
there's a ... lot to be said for nowhere."
  • at the box office you are going to be dealing with some $8/hr moron who will have no care or concern of working hard and fast to ensure you good seats...

I think online is a better option.

I tried online for Springsteen & it was a clusterf...! Got through right at 10:00,was put in a que & sat there for an hour & a half. Use the phone, that's how I got tix for Bruce at the Spectrum!

Work the phone and online at the same time. Springsteen was a horrible mess and I imagine PJ will be just as bad. Comcasttix doesn't have the best servers in the world either. I have been lucky, but have heard many horror stories about Comcasttix. Good luck!

Actually, after people try online with comcast, they may be singing praises to the TC server!

Totally agree. When I deal with Comcasttix, I always long for the Ticketmaster or Livenation servers. My TC number sucks, but I know how horrible Comcasttix can be so getting TC tix was very important for me even though, hypothetically, I could do better through Comcasttix.

I went through comcasttix for Bruce tickets and had no problems.. in the que for 5 minutes and bought tickets 3 minutes later.... my only advice is to not wait till 10AM to try to access the site.

often is is difficult to get accurate information regarding box office sales

I know TM sales are usually exclusively online until 12 pm or something like that

be damn sure the box office is selling tickets before you go

but you could always work the iphone or laptop and telephone while waiting at the box office

I think this is good advice ... I learned my lesson when I got Bruce tickets..I was lucky enough to get one but waited until about 15 minutes before 10am to access the site and ended up in the que for almost an hour but once I got on the site I had no problem

Thanks to everybody for the advice! Good luck tomorrow!
  • Is anyone going down to the Box office overnight to wait in line? I got great seats for the last Spectrum show when I went to to the Box office in person.
  • Anyone ever go to an Acme to get the tix. Certain Stores have comcast tix I was wondering if it was going to be a lottery there.

So, comcasttix.com is better than livenation?

The website says tickets face are $77. They match up with 10 club pretty well...$10-$15 maybe?

DAMN IT. I consoled myself for my wasted 90 minutes last night by thinking, at least TM can sell this bitch out in 5 minutes, so I won't waste much more of my time. Fuck it, I'm trying for 10 minutes and then saying a big eff you to this tour. I'll see Guster at the 9:30 10/29-10/30 instead.

My brother had the bright idea of calling Comcast, and the guy said $96 something.
  • Is anyone local, that does not work in the morning. Limited Acme markets have ticket stations. My guess is that both shows will be sold out in Appx 30 min. Bruce time amounts.

Here's the list of Acme's that are selling tix:

I was surprised to see there's one a block from my house on the list.
