Oh come on, so you're telling me you enjoy going a half dozen pages back to a relevant thread you posted in the day before because in the meantime there's 50 fucking threads about shit like "oh hey who knows where there's good pizza in l.a. i heard eddie loves pizza" and shit like that?

Something tells me that Stephen isn't the idiot here. Sorry, just stating the obvious.
So I present to you the same question:

search button. search for the thread you're looking for & ignore the posts that you don't want to read.
people are excited about the shows. people are coming in from out of town & want some info. i just don't see your point in attacking the OP at all. he was simply stating that PJ should open for themselves...which means more PJ for those in attendance. or in my case, those that may buy the bootleg.

To be quite honest you can do a quick search for anything on this board, it's not that hard. If you think finding a thread you posted is hard then that's pretty much your problem... I'm not going to stop posting a thread because of someone like you who is pained to wade through threads that are irrelevant to you. If there's any threads you should be cracking down on, internet cop, it should be the ticket threads, those are in abundance and annoying everyone, I'm sure. Also please point me in the direction of the thread about Ed loving pizza, I want to help guess his favorite topping.

Do you know up the top of the forum when you are signed in there is a button 'View your posts' that shows you only threads you have posted in!

In order to see the relevant posts you've contributed to, click "View your posts" on the top of the page. Of course, that works only if you haven't posted in 50 fucking threads about shit in the meantime...

As you can see from my # of posts, I'm not on here 24/7, so I appreciate the tips on how to better navigate the site. Thank you.
I guess my main issue is just the sheer # of threads, often about the same topics. If everyone would just post under one thread entitled "The Fixer", for example, then all the info. about the ball game last night, the Crowe Showbox thing, and the upcoming radio release can be consolidated in one place and things would be way less cluttered.
But instead, we have one along the lines of "omgz who heard the song at the end of the game?!?" to "oh man the fixer is unlike any pj song evarrr" to one about people searching for links of the song. And then of course the genius who hops on his computer after the game and doesn't even glance at past threads but just decides to report on the fact that the song was played at the end of the game like people hadn't been talking about it for hours ahead of time.
/rant
In summary, just try to post in an existing thread instead of creating one. 9/10 times there's already something out there who's already posted about what you're thinking.

I'm with you on the fact that every "major event" could be handled in a single thread, although I think it's pretty hard to handle because (a) often threads on a hot topic are opened at about the same time, so you can't really blame the authors because they probably didn't even know that the thread they were about to open already existed and (b) who's gonna control the flow? I mean, it would basically imply having someone around the board 24/7 just merging/closing/deleting threads if the topic has been covered before. Granted, it would be desirable to have less topics opened, but it's quite a stretch on a board like this, especially in times where a lot is going on.
Oh, and as you can probably see from my number of posts, I'm not here all the time either, that's exactly why I found said link so useful. Glad you like it, too

Careful what you wish for!!! I saw Iggy Pop & Mudhoney open for them in 1998. What a great show. Also don't forget, Bruce will be in the Philly area in late October.

A postcard was a revoltionary communications device that meant the we didn't have to carve messages on stone tablets and carry them on our shoulders across the high seas. Especially convenient as the ban on smoking in public has ruled out the option of arguing via smoke signals...
