How do ticket vendors already have tickets posted on their websites when they havent even gone on sale to the public?? And has anyone seen these prices? $895 for section 101 at the spectrum on 10/30???? Thats crazy and it pisses me off. It makes me believe trying to get decent seats for 10/28 (no luck through the 10C) is gonna be pretty tough. Hopefully I wont have to go through them, Im just curious.

promoters also are given tickets to events they promote and many turn them over to brokers for huge $$$.

if you're interested, search "trent reznor" on the porch and you'll find a threat that discusses his perspectives (which are right on).

Interesting, I missed that thread. Still pisses me off though cause I want those seats... not for that much $$ though. Hopefully I win the lottery and get 1st or 2nd row..... I can only dream.

A friend in High School had access to seats at the Forum in L.A. because his dad held corporate seats for Sunkist (oranges). We got those seats for concerts because the corporate seats were for ALL events... Lakers, Kings, Concerts, Ice Capades, the Circus, the Rodeo... everything.
I'm sure that still holds true and Season Ticket holders have full access to those seats for all events. So, at the Staples Center, for example... a Lakers fan can sell his Madonna or Hannah Montana tickets to scalpers who sell them on consignment. Why not sell those tickets and recoup some of the costs if all you are interested in is the Lakers?

But, you could have... right? I am pretty sure if you have the money, you can get those seats for all MSG events... which means you would have to endure the Knicks Season.
