Complainers. Listen and listen carefully... There is a limited number of seats in each arena. You are not getting through because there is a shit load of pj fans trying to get tickets to the same show just like you. Even with a flawless system, someone is still not going to get a ticket even if they tried because there are not enough seats. It's not rocket science. If you expect to get a fan club ticket ahead of time and plan your trip in advance, then you are an idiot. It's the price we pay for being fans of the greatest band in the world.

It took me 45 minutes to get a San Diego tix. When it said "temporarily out of stock" i didn't bitch. I just kept trying and I got lucky and got through. If i didn't, then oh well. Guess what? There is something called general public tickets. Its not the end of the world if we don't score fan club tixs. Just being in the damn arena is all we need.

i don't think its the fact that people didn't get tickets. i like to think people have enough common sense to understand supply/demand...but i could be wrong.

i think it has more to do with the crappy ass 10c website that crashes EVERY time this happens.

    Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /store/index.spring.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

Apache Server at secure.pearljam.com Port 443

Well said. When demand wildly exceeds supply, people are going to be left out in the cold. Suck it up, get your tickets on TM, and start getting psyched!

I agree with you 100 % some of these COMPLAINERS make it hard on the rest of us....
Seems to be getting worse ever sale, could be a single, or a shirt etc.....
    Same people bashing the 10c

i think people are just frustrated. we expect our fan club to get us tickets, simple as that.

i've been fortunate to score tix to every show i've ever wanted (except for EV in philly 09 - different system though)
was shut out of both philly shows today. slightly bitter but i realize why i didn't score and no system is perfect. my question is... how the hell does stubhub already have tickets for sale?

It is not always possible/smart to expand capacity just for a few occassions. This applies to restaurants on Valentines day, shopping malls during the holiday season, baseball stadiums on opening day, as well as, computer servers. The cost of an "outtage" is much smaller then the cost of idle capacity.

(Hooray, I was finally able to use something I learned in my P.O.M. classes!

why didn't you score? you did everything right?

    that's why it's frustrating.

I guess we got spoiled for a few years of relatively unlimited tickets, which makes me think the 10c is having issues with circumventing ticketmasters 10% fan club limit rules.

Back in the 90's when we had to mail it in, it was first come first serve, and they also had limited tickets, so everyone was courioring their orders to the 10c to try and get it there first :)

I didn't try philly but I did buy seattle, and I thought it was pretty smooth. So at least they've done some server upgrades this year.

I guess it really comes down too how much do we want them to spend on server upgrades for server power the only need several times a year (if that).

I think you can lease server power. Maybe thats what they did, with the seattle/la shows running pretty smooth, maybe they underestimated the philly shows.

i agree.. but as i read in another post. compare it to everyone trying to squeeze into one door at the spectrum. it jams up. bandwith/server conncetions are limted. it's bound to fail. couple that with only (2) shows on the whole east coast. everyone and their brother was trying to squeeze in that door. buy the time everyone gets in the show might be over. we can hope for an added show based on the demand. one more chance.

Yes, frustrated. I don't much care about the system sucking, supply, etc. Life isn't fair. There are greater problems in the world (I know; i'm a freakin' social worker). On and on.

Bottom line: I just wanna go to the shows, and now it's a little harder and probably a lot more expensive. It sucks. That's all.

    It sucks. That's all.

I agree. Support your local music instead.

my whole point is that even if you did everything correctly, signed on at the right time, refreshed, etc there is still someone out there that is going to get denied because there are not enough fan club seats to go around. Even with a perfect system, not everyone who tries for a ticket will get one.

  • It sucks when you have tickets in your shopping cart, the site goes down, logs you out, won't let you log back in, and when it finally does, the tickets have been re-released the general pool.

I understand that not everyone can get tix, it's happened to me before. But this time is different. When I wait like everyone else, have tickets all but paid for, and I lose them because the 10C has inadequate equipment, there begins to be a problem.

I realize it's hard for them to justify having a larger server all year round, but there is problem when people get straight screwed out of tickets they have.

    That's all.

Exactly. I understand not getting through due to a high volume of activity. But a process that can take you to a page with a Buy button AND a message indicating that tickets are "Temporarily Out of Stock" is both frustrating and seemingly rectifiable with the proper investment of money and technology. Ask DMB fans about their experience with the Warehouse's online ticketing system.

Thank you for understanding the situation. As much as I loathe ticketbastard, at least at it works when it's supposed to, and my failure is communicated expeditiously. Yes, I understand that they are a much larger operation than ten club, but that is not a vaild excuse for the incompetence.

"Ask DMB fans about their experience with the Warehouse's online ticketing system."

I brought that up several times and was shouted down. DMB tix take five minutes to get, zero frustration.
