Any if you think any differently take the bag off your head! I'm done renewing my membership. It's a shame the real fans that know every song to every album have to sit in the nose bleeds and buy tickets through ticketmaster all the while have a ten club membership!! The last time I got tickets to a show in a major city New York, Philly etc. was when you sent in to reserve tickets. Now it's how many memberships does each scalper have and how fast are their computers. Need a ticket?? The scalpers got some if you need it, they got some if you need it. Supe up them computers scalpers the NYC shows are on their way. Big Bucks! You know the old addage F me once shame on you F me twice shame on me, Im done getting to the checkout and getting kicked out. Hey Tenclub send my Christmas single to one of the scalpers maybe they can get 20 bucks for it! You're getting played by the greed. But then again it is the American way now isn't it?

sorry you've been so unlucky...i haven't missed any 10c shows that i wanted to go to since 2003. the only time i missed out was borgata and ev solo shows. thats it. and from what ive gathered, most people got tix for what they wanted this time sans seattle 1 and philly 2.

You have to wonder though. They didn't use senority til 2000. If you bought your membership in 98 or 99 your tickets are so so. The fan club was pretty low key before that, and I doubt there were alot of scalpers before that.

So any scalpers that have signed up since the announcement of senority would only get so-so seats.. not the seats that go for big money on ebay?

Most 10c shows I've been do have 10c members all around me. I bought my membership in jan 98. I think my theory would be pretty sound.

I don't think you can blame it all on scalpers. Theres 30-40,000 10c members and not alot of shows. The northeast is heavily populated, its going to sell out.

Well said. The scalper theory is bunk. It's not worth it for them to waste their money for tickets they need to show up for in person to collect, anyway.

I think the system does its job better than most. No, it's not perfect, but if you think there are thousands of scalpers buying tickets without knowing the seats that they can only sell in person on the day of the show, I think you're kidding yourself.

the reason you miss on 10c ticket has nothing to do with scalpers (you have to be there to pick up tickets remember.. not worth the investment of a membership to them).

the reason is for Philly, it's the only shows in the whole region this year. simple as that. take 100million+ population, lots of members - 2 shows.. very simple maths.

yep, Northeast shows bring people from all the major US and Canadian cities as well as Europe and beyond. Those are "destination" shows cause people can combine the concert with sightseeing and/or just get a good airfare because it's a hub airport. Being the only shows in a major city on the NE coast Philly was bound to go quickly, and will just as likely have a 3rd show announced.

Long time 10C member (#707xx) and I rarely see anything but fan club members in the first 10 rows.

Not a scalper but I scored today,

    The scalper theory is bunk.

actually, it's not...but not in the way he is saying it. if anyone doesn't realize that the major ticket distributors...ticketmaster...comcast...they restrict how many the fan club receives. then the other good tickets they hold back for themselves...brokers and other people they have dealings with. it's all an inside job and the real fan gets the shaft. the odds of getting a great seat through a public sale=VERY SLIM. the system sucks. they are BASTARDS.

kind of maked you wonder how there are so many tickets on stubhub for these shows already.

albeit, alot of them arent good tickets but there are few that are in questionable areas.

Agreed about TM for most acts. I think it's just a wee bit different for PJ though.

Does anyone else find that these rants almost seem like one long sentence? People should try and form opinions and write them in such a way that readers see a beginning, middle and end... much easier to follow thoughts like that. In any case, as it's been stated here, scalpers don't really get access to the best seats, despite what you may choose to believe. I am not blinded by love for this band, I see their faults as well as the good they provide. Sorry you didn't get tickets, but look around on this board, and you'll see many people excited about going to the shows with their Ten Club tickets. The winners are always the optimists, and the losers seem to be the pessimists - but think about this.. do your results change your attitude, or does your attitude affect your results? ;)

Agreed! Half these people just want something to complain about. It is frustrating, I get it, but there's nothing you can do about it now. Pick up some when they go onsale to the public. So long RB47851!

I always love how there are so many theories on how things work and rarely are any of them correct.
