How the heck does StubHub already have tickets for sale? Something ain't right with that. Go to Stubhub.com for the 10/30 Philly show and see for yourself.
negative 10. on before 5, tried until about 6:25 when it said sold out. buy button available 20ish times and i got either errors or put back to the temp sold out msg.....LAME
No site can handle excessive volume for a show. In Philly's case, you have the entire eastern seacoast, the tri-state area plus people nationally & internationally wanting to go to this show. I thought this year was light years better than MSG. If you thought today was bad,go to comcast tix online at 10:00 on Friday. For Bruce in April I was in the que for an hour & a half before I had a chance to even order tickets. Bruce doesn't afford his fans the opportunity to purchase in advance,PJ does!
Ticketmaster doesn't do it too badly.
Yeah, but that's not a fair comparison. Pearl Jam are a band with a fan club that is trying to get as many fans as they are allowed into premium seats for less than a ticketmaster ticket, all for a yearly fee of $20 per member.
Ticketmaster is a multi-billion dollar corporation that can afford (and are trying) to buy the entire music business.

A better system wouldnt change the limited supply of tickets, it would just change the way they get allocated to more random. I like the current system -- it rewards perseverance.
you dont GOT to bitch just because SOME people didnt get tickets, theres always ticketmaster IF YOU NEED IT

floyd1975 Have you ever been in the TM 15 minute maze? You know, the one that teases you as it goes down minute by minute until you think you're almost there & then it jumps back to 15minutes!!! Plus, comparing TM to TC is like apples & oranges. One serves the public as a pseudo monopoly(a true one if Congress allows the Live Nation merge) & one that caters to a particular band & group of fans. PJ fans on this site don't realize how good they have it. I got lucky today & scored both shows but last year I got shut out of both MSG shows on TC. I didn't bitch,I used the tricks of the trade I learned after years of TM & got both nights. I really don't understand this sense of entitlement people have!
i have got tickets to every show i tried for this year in 2-3 minutes
i have no problems with it, i didnt try for philly though
but i got both MSG shows without much trouble last year, and the situation with the server/connection was worse then.

I got tickets for my two shows in under a minute each. needless to say happy.
I thought the system worked great.
I do feel sorry for folks that got shut out but be positive. there is still a general sale wich will have prime seats. As well, this is the ten club. People will be offering their extras at face before the shows. Just keep looking.

I'm 15 for 15 getting tickets during these internet presales (including both Philly shows). There are tricks of the trade that you need to know though. You have to go to the SECURE site (https://secure.pearljam.com/store/produ ... tegoryId=3) and skip all the traffic on the "goods" section of the main site.
I used the secure site and still got shut out of night 2.

If comparing 10C to Ticketbastards 10C wins hands down.
10Club
1 in a mad dash at go time with my heart fluttering hit the buy button --- 2 get through the name/addy page, oops time out start over --- 1, 2, 3 Success --- 4 pick up tix at 10C will call and know that seats will be good cause the 10C takes care of the fans. Fees are only about $15 per pair more than face and my BP returns to normal.
vs
Ticketbastards (been a while but lets see if I remember)
1 in a mad dash at go time with my heart fluttering fill out a sh!tload of fields --- 2 hit buy button --- 3 enter that stupid a$$ code that one time out of threeI can't even read --- 4 wait for that "page will refresh in 1 second (if you live in Pluto time) do not hit your back button" page while having a heart attack and not knowing where the heck the seats I draw will end up being --- 5 seats suck but I buy them anyway for fear of being shut out then --- 6 go back to step 1 and try for a better pair cause 9 times out of 10 the 4th or 5th draw will be better than the 1st --- 7 either finally get something halfway close and now have to find someone to buy my extras or I settle for the 1st draw and try to do better in the parking lot day of show. Fees were more than $15 EACH more than face and I feel like I've been mugged!!
This may sound like a jerk statement, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but come on, get over it.
I was able to get tickets to Seattle 1, and Philly 2. Those were the only 2 shows I tried to get tickets to. In fact, the only show I've ever been shut out of that I tried for online tickets was the Vic. I'd be frustrated and disappointed if I didn't get tickets, but the system in place works fairly well. When you have limited seats, and a massive amount of people trying to logon, the site will be slow or crash.
I don't think the system needs overhauled. I don't post a lot on here, and will probably get blasted left and right for this, but chill out on the sense of entitlement. There are a ton of people in this fan club, and they only get so many tickets. No one is guaranteed.

I'm sorry for your loss. Hopefully a 10/31 show will appear and you'll be in for that. I've been shut out before and it sucks but I've been successful more times than not when new shows were added after sell outs so don't give up.
Congrats to all who will attend. But there has to be a better way. Love the 10c and what they do, but go back to the old way (i.e. 2000 tour). Right now, I'm biased as I was shut out and was on the site in plenty of time. Does not seem fair to be a 10C member and not get a tix. Had the "BUY" button about 20 times and, well, nothing. Just sucks. Ever the optomist I will not quit..... but DAMN Willis!

I really dont complain that much about the Ten CLub, but I reall do think that if the site cant handle he traffic, something needs to be done. There are servers out there and there are ways to resolve this. Yes there are tons of people, but this issue can be resolved. This wont be the last high demand show.

I think it was fine and a 100% turn around from the horrible mess of the 2006 tour and West Coast Ed solo tour. I barely got my 2006 LA forum 10c tickets and I remember trying for an hour. For Ed solo, West coast, after an hour, I never got tickets. The worst hour of my life. This time, i had tickets for LA in minutes.
