Rare backstage footage of Nirvana in January 1994

I just found the footage a week or so ago, surprising to see Kurt so happy when he was just a few months away from putting a shotgun in his mouth. Novoselic was so hilarious back then, there's a video of Nirvana and the Pumpkins playing Twister where he pretends to ejaculate, hilarious.

    He didn't sound that happy to me. He just seemed like he didn't give a fuck about what that guy was asking, but I wouldnt blame him since the guy was asking such stupid immature questions.

    By happy I mean laughing/smiling and not acting super depressed. Happy for Kurt Cobain standards.

    It was a joke, I thought the interviewer was hilarious. Kurt and Courtenay took his questions with a grain of salt, even with the blatently stupid ones. They were good sports . It reminded me of an Ali G interview except the guests being interviewed were in on the joke..

    That footage is from Vancouver at the Pacific Coliseum. And the interviewer is Nardwaur. He is a legend in these parts, he owns Mint Records (New Pornographers and others) http://www.mintrecs.com/

    Nardwaur is fuckin hilarious. He is known for digging up AMAZING little known facts about the bands and shocking them, with his ability to find the stuff out. Here is his youtube channel. Really worth a couple of views.....I reccomend the ICE-T interview, BUSTA RHYMES and of course the James Brown interview, where James gets the best of ol Nardwaur. But, he has interviewed EVERYONE, so check out his vids.....

    Yeah the guy is fucking annoying, it's fascinating to watch though that's why I put it up. I wish I could get the raw video file and mute out his voice hahaha. The reactions to him by Kurt and Krist were hilarious though. I wish he would have asked about Kurt's future plans, I would have been interested to hear his response.

    Yeah good old Nardwaur! ....The show was actually at the PNE Forum I was at the show that night and must say Nirvana and Kurt in particular seemed really on and a lot tighter than many of the boots I have heard of them from other performances they had. .... Needless to say after seeing him enjoy himself on stage and put on a great show it was unbelievable to think he would commit suicide so shortly thereafter!

    ^^ I completely agree with this. He really does his research. You can learn so many interesting little tidbits you didn't know before. His interviews can be pretty fun.
    Common sense is not so common.
