Never thought I'd enjoy soul music but recently been listening to a lot of Al Green lately and his music is just incredible.

Green Is Music(his debut) is probably my favorite album of his discography eventhough it's full of recognizable numbers on there like My Girl, Summertime, I Wanna Hold Your Hand and Get Back.

Also does an awesome cover of The Doors' Light My Fire on Gets Next To You. Everything's OK, I'm Still In With You and Let's Stay Together round the top 5 albums for me.

Some general examples of his greatnes or you find torrent his stuff for a preview. ;)

Yup, that his best known track. Took me a couple of years to figure what song that was when I first saw Pulp Fiction during the scene where we first meet Butch and Marcellus.

Here's another great track from Al.

Real R&B/Soul, good R&B/Soul is a beautiful thing and nothing like the craptastic shit (and so-called "artists")that passes for it today. The 70's and 80's were were a gold mine for quality.

And yes, Al Green, has still got it going on. I've even got his last album, last year's "Lay It Down". And he does.

Glad you're enjoying the one and only Reverend Green.

Loved this song from one of my favorite soundtrack movies Notting Hill. Al Green's version to me was better than the original *How Can You Break A Broken Heart*
