I'm going to the Tool show on Aug. 7th in Cincinnati. Thanks to a good friend, I'll be sitting 4th row center. I've never been this close to the stage for a major act like this before. Anyone here familiar with their policies on recording and taking pictures? Thanks!

I don't know of many major bands that "allow" photos.

Also, pretty sure they don't allow taping, but there's a 99% chance there will be a pretty good sounding recording of the show. You think of tapin?

i hope so, by the time i found out about the shows after you added ticket master's convenience fees in the 2 closest shows to me would be around $70 or more for nose bleed seats which i'd still have to drive around 2 hours one way to see/
    don't compete; coexist

what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?

"I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank." - Barack Obama

when you told me 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'
i was thinkin 'death before dishonor'

I have to drive a minimum of 2 hours to see every show.

My friend has a business partner w/ season VIP tix to PNC pavillion and offered 4 tix to my friend who offered 2 to me. Free dinner at the venue in VIP dining area, free everything! Things like this never happen to me so I am very excited! I've seen Tool twice before so I'm not just going because of the tix, I actually like the band. Yeah!

I'm thinking about some good pictures, and my digital camera is an older style so it only records 3 minutes of video w/ audio at a time. I guess I could see if I could change that setting somehow.

last time that Tool came through my arena in 07 they STRICTLY prohibited both cameras and video recorders. And with the type of show it is, chances are security is going to be conducting pat downs.

Yep - Tool are the STRICTEST band I've ever been to see with regards to photos etc - I'd be amazed if you get in with a camera let alone fire off more than a couple of shots.

Damn! I guess its not worth it. 4th row seems like we'd get watched closely due to the proximity of security.
