New Project feat. Dave Grohl + Josh Homme + Zeppelin Bassist

It's not just a rumor anymore! John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) and Josh Homme (QOTSA) are working together on a new project - Homme's wife Body Dalle confirmed it yesterday.

If everyone around me wasn't asleep right now I'd be screaming out loud!!
By the way, been reading Antiquiet regularly since I discovered it last year and I'm loving it! Keep up the excellent work!

it could be great, it could suck a big bag of dicks.
I'm betting on the former, but, we'll see.

Yah lol, that was the first thing I thought too... JPJ is only one of the best bassists ever.
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
And I'm bored to tears.......

You really thought the same thing about Chickenfoot??
this new project should be a good fit for everyone involved... definitely some good ole fashion hard rock

Why not (V) (°,,,,°) (V) ?
People would recognize JPJ as an acronym for John Paul Jones 1000000 years before they would recognize Josh Homme's name.
Josh Homme on Guitar and vox!!!
John Paul FUCKING Jones on bass!!!!
C'mon!!! It's impossible for this project to suck.
I'm more excited about this than new PJ, QOTSA, or Desert Sessions.
All Hail.....Foos of the Zep Age!!!
ROCK.
But JPJ and Grohl as your rhythm section... holy fuckin shit!
And I'll fifth the people pointing out that JPJ is a helluva lot more renowned than Josh Homme can ever hope to be.

Yeah, nobody would recognize who John Paul Jones is...
Yeh QOTSA suck, Kyuss made some of the best music ever. I dont know how much contribution Josh had.
Does anyone in this thread know who Kyuss are??? Go listen to Welcome to Sky Valley and Blues for the Red Sun and you'll realise QOTSA have no bollocks.
Yeh you can like both, but QOTSA are bad :P
Josh WAS Kyuss.
Josh IS QOTSA
QOTSA WEREa great band.
Josh lost the plot after Songs for the Deaf.
But one thing is certain...The 1st QOTSA album is and always will be one of the greatest rock records ever made. I don't understand how any fan of KYUSS could not LOVE the first Queens record.
I will be buried with that album...along with the first 8 Desert Sessions. Some top notch music has come out of the mind of Josh Homme.
I have very high hopes for this Grohl and JPJ project.
The 1st album is great and I do own Kyuss's Blues for the Red Sun on vinyl and like it a lot. Yeah I can't wait for this collab I can't see it failing but then you never know do you?
Ahh, the convenient ignorance of misquoting... it never gets far beyond the telephone game on message boards.
I said the people HERE. As in, this forum. I could be wrong, you guys could all be middle-aged grunge-nostalgia trippers, but for people under 30, like it or not, QOTSA's frontman definitely more present in music than Led Zeppelin's bassist.
Of course Jones is a legend and Homme hasn't made a tenth the mark in the tapestry of rock history. That's not what's being debated.
I still disagree, but let's be grateful that we're part of a music community where most people know both.
I for one am very excited about this! I mean come on, regardless of what you think of their individual bands, these guys are all insanely talented musicians!
Fair enough!
+1! Both are/ were incredible bands. I will be the first to admit qosta took a while to grow on me but I love them now.
Who cares about the thread title. We all got the message and I for one am really excited
