  • Well, it was fucking great. I taped both the Folkman and Tap sets. Wembley Arena, London, June 30 2009:
    Setlists:

    THE FOLKSMEN
    unknown
    A Mighty Wind
    The Local Man
    Blood on the Coal
    unknown
    Start Me Up (Stones cover)

    SPINAL TAP
    Tonight I'm Rock You Tonight
    Bitch School
    Back From the Dead
(Listen to the) Flower People (Nigel used a double-body and double-necked mandolin)
    Cash on Delivery
    Hellhole
    Majesty of Rock
    Gimme Some Money
Saucey Jack (first time played live. Mainly acapella. About Jack the Ripper)
Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare (with instrumental bits of Daytripper [The Beatles], Sunshine of Your Love [Cream], Beat It [Michael Jackson] and Jump [Van Halen]
Cups and Cakes (David asked us all to put our pinkies in the air for this one)
(Funky) Sex Farm (dedicated to those who like 'filth')
Clam Caravan (speech how it should be called 'Calm Caravan' but they fucked the printing up. Also featured a dijeridoo solo by Nigel)
    All the Way Home
Warmer than Hell (written for Live 8 originally. Derek: 'Must have worked. The Earth's still here!')
    Diva Fever
Stonehenge (featuring an inflatable Stonehenge that had trouble inflating. David to the 2 dwarves: 'push it up!'. It got up and then during the 'where are they now, and what are they doing, the little children of stongehenge?' line, it collapsed on top of the dwarves!)
    Rock 'n' Roll Creation
Short 'n' Sweet (with Keith Emerson and a long keyboard solo!)
Big Bottom (with Justin Hawkins and his concord jet shaped bass, Andy Scott from Sweet on bass, and Keith Emerson and a shitload of girls on stage shakin' booty)
    (encore 1):
Heavy Duty (with Keith Emerson) (and CJ their keyboardist having an onstage tantrum coz Emerson's a better keyboardist than he is).
    (encore 2):
    Break Like the Wind

A fabulous show. The audience kinda sucked though. Very laid-back. Wasn't a sell out, either. This really was a dream come true for me. And so say all of us, Tap into London!

Jess, congrats on the birth of the buggerlugs. Enjoy the no sleep, motherfucker!
