I just rediscovered this album, I can't believe how good it is, I was watching Wayne's World and heard "All Night Thing" great tune. One of the best albums from the early 90s.

EASILY one of the best albums. It's special in that way that when you play it, there is no need to skip tracks.

It truly is a brilliant record.

Indeed a brilliant record. In my opinion it's one of the best rock records ever recorded. Period. And I realize that's a damn bold statement. I never get tired of hearing it.

Yep. I like to rediscover TOTD every couple of months! A beautifully executed album that brings back some sweet memories.

I prefer Mad Season by far, but I've never been a fan of Cornell's voice. Those first three tracks are pretty great, but after that, TOTD doesn't really leave an impression on me.

i could leave off "wooden jesus"... but i think the rest of the album is pretty close to perfect

and its a huge shame mad season didnt get to do a second album... i think that might be some of mikes best work... actually ill go ahead and confirm that... TOTD and mad season are my favorite mike stuff... i think doing a tribute with mark lanegan would be just as good if not better... but the time for that may have past

Completely agree with you there. A second album with Lanegan (one of my fav singers) would be the tops. I think there was speculation back in the late 90s over a second Mad Season album with Lanegan on main vox, but things never materialized - I can't remember the rumored name of the band...and yes TOTD and Mad Season (at least to me) is some of Mike's best work. Listening to two of my favorite singers share and trade lines on I'm Above and Long Gone Day gives me chills every time.

Oh and Wooden Jesus rocks! ;)

CALL ME A DOG was purely spawned from daffodils and liquidated iron. it's just that awesome.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

    Liquidated??????

I've never been a big fan of TOTD. There are some great tunes but there are a few side projects I think are better. I think it has too much Chris Cornell influence for my taste.

I love Above from Mad Season. Just a great album, though I have to be in the right mood for it.

I just discovered 3 Fish after all these years and I'm really diggin it.
