Looking for some Prince and I want some funk, which ones the funkiest?

    Don't know about the best but I personally love his Musicology disc. Not old skool but very funky.

    For funk, Crystal Ball or 3121. MplsSound is supposed to be all funk, but I just can't get into it.

    Well, he only had 5 albums prior to Purple Rain and I would list those 5 albums like this:

    PRINCE 1999....almost as good as PR, one of the few albums you can listen to from beginning to end. Also the remixes of some of the songs are totally awesome. I have them all just on vynil.

    DIRTY MIND....This is all about sex and the remix of *HEAD* is just too cool

    CONTROVERSY....another sex album and I think Prince got some flack for *Do Me Baby* or Jack U Off. I thought for sure he was gay back in the day.

    PRINCE....I believe he played ALL the Instruments on this album and I can remember I couldn't get enough of *I Wanna Be Your Lover*

    FOR YOU.....Where It all started for Prince as a 20 year old and started with the hit song *Soft and Wet* I can recall mixing this one in high school.

    I have a lot of Prince on vinyl...Dirty Mind is freaky, depending upon what kind of freak you are. ;) Enjoy!
