    Agreed.

I thought "Dangerous" was good too. That was like the first cassette I bought with my own money I think.

I have the Essentials cd which is like a greatest hits.
  • I didn't know there was an "Essential" MJ collection. THAT would be the one to get. It has the Jackson 5/Jacksons stuff and everything.

Agreed. From looking at it on Amazon it has pretty much every good MJ song not on Thriller, plus some Jackson 5 stuff.

The only missing song, as far as I can tell, is "Say Say Say". I think Paul has the rights to that one.

I have the Thriller on LP. Bad and Number Ones on CD, and all are great.

people act like Thriller and Off the wall are the only solo must haves. I have the entire collection. Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory, and Invincible. Thrillers great, but I always loved Bad and Dangerous more.

People dont seem to like his most recent, Invincible. I say get the whole collection!

Could sell one of those now and buy a new car with the money

I have Thriller and have owned a copy in some form since it came out.

got all of 'em now, my friends and i shared what we had in our collections with each other. invincible is a GREAT album, 'butterflies' is quite possibly my favorite MJ song of all time (too hard to narrow it down though!)....his voice is beautiful in it.

also got a 'best of' for the jackson 5. 'who's loving you' is gorgeous!
  • What got me into Michael Jackson was actually the fact that he did the music in Sonic 3... Even if Sega doesn't officially credit him. I love, love, LOVE Stranger in Moscow.

Really digging the simpsons song "Do the Bartman" lately, absolute early 90's classic. :)

It's important to have all of his music or at least give it all a listen and you'll see he informs almost everything out there at some stage and in some way..a real musical genius..Dangerous is underrated, its a great album but standing next to works like Thriller Bad and Off the Wall, anything, no matter what it is, is gonna be dwarfed..their monoliths of genius.

He is sadly and sorely missed already.

I agree, its obvious Thriller, Bad and Off the Wall are classics, but people seem to sleep on Dangerous. I think its my favorite album.

dangerous is a great album ('give in to me', love that song). even invincible seems to get looked over...there are some beautiful gems on it.

i've had 'another part of me' on repeat all day!
