NICE DUDE!!
i flew into Minneapolis on Wednesday night and crashed with a buddy before heading to Madison to meet up w/ part of our eventual caravan. it was one of the best weekends i've had in a long long time. so much energy, so many good people... and they played so fucking well too. cannot wait for the August run
these will be my first shows ever at the Gorge and it's been at the top of my list of venues i HAVE to see (Red Rocks is up there, Alpine & Deer Creek were

When I saw them this past weekend, I was BLOWN AWAY, they are was tighter then I can EVER remember them in the past, Trey is sober and you can tell that they are really enjoying themselves (pun intended) and that at least Trey anyway is grateful to just be playing with the rest of the guys again and that he actually appreciates it this time and is not taking things for granted. They are focused and playing like no other live band right now, it was great to see Page come out before the encore the last night of Alpine Valley and thank the crew and fans and say that they had a great tour, because I know Page was the one who wasn't really sure about playing again as a band.
I've been to about 500-600 concerts in my life, including club shows and festivals and Phish is on a short list of bands that I feel privileged to have seen in my life (Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam also) and I for one am glad they are playing again. I always hear the jokes from other Pearl Jam fans on this board and from my friends in general, but hey what can I say, I LOVE bands that play great live and like it or not Phish falls into that category and is pretty much at the top of the list as far as I'm concerned.
