Music and book stores in Chicago

Visiting chicago in a week or so and I was wondering if anyone could offer some cool stores to check out, specifically CD/record shops as well as used book stores. Anything in particular I should check out in Chi would be cool too-any interesting spots that sorta thing.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Wicker Park has some great ones:

    Myopic books. (http://myopicbookstore.com/index.html)
    Reckless Records. (http://www.reckless.com/)

    Both on Milwaukee Ave near Damen, which is right off the blue line L (aka the train in from the airport).


    There are also a number of good ones in Lakeview on Broadway (including another Reckless location):

    Bookleggers.
    Unabridged (http://www.unabridgedbookstore.com/)
    Discus CD Exchange
    Groovin Records (on Belmont near the red line L... more records, but the owner is incredibly cool and there are some interesting finds there)

    Reckless Records is def. the place to go! Back in the mid 1990's the record label Waxtrax also had a couple of stores. The Alley is also a place to check out!
