So, I booked 2 tickets for the Alice in Chains London show on 04/08/2009 thinking for sure a good friend of mine would be interested, turns out he's not. I still plan on going (is going to gig alone slightly odd? who cares) but this means I have a spare ticket first person to reply can have it for face value(£21.50) and bonus points if your someone I can rock the fuck out with.

and imo, going to a show alone isn't weird. Something nice and liberating about it.

Granted it is better with a group, but going alone is a cool experience.

Of the 150 shows I've been to, the last 4 are the only ones I've been to alone. (wife and kids at home).

    Really enjoyed it.

There will be enough of us from the board (and those that can't post anymore!) going. Usually, there is a lil' meet up before at a local pub so you won't be alone!

So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

Nah, going to a gig by yourself isn't odd. I do it all the time. I've missed too many good gigs in the past because I couldn't find anyone to go with. Plus you always end up meeting cool people anyway. This summer I'm doing NIN and PJ by myself, and I know it's gonna be awesome!

Hell yes, i'm not going to miss a gig just because i havent got anyone to go with. I usually find a friend for a big show but for small ones in pubs/small clubs i usually go alone.

And for Pearl Jam you will meet maany people if you get the meet ups.

Yeah, I need to get to one of the meets. I couldn't make the ones at the previous shows I went to for various reasons, but I'll definitely try to get to the Manchester one.
