Going to see Metallica in Albany!

Going to be my 4th time seeing Metallica. My birthday is next week, and the tix were a gift from my brother.
2008 - MSG 6/24-6/25
2010 - Newark 5/18 MSG 5/21
2011 - PJ20 9/3-9/4
2012 - MIA Festival 9/2
2013 - Wrigley Field 7/19 Brooklyn 10/18-10/19 Philly 10/22
2015 - Colbert show - 9/23 Global Citizens Festival 9/26
2016 - Philly 4/28-4/29 MSG 5/1-5/2

    Co-worker is going to that show... I'm not really a Metallica fan at all but their live shows are pretty good.... I'd consider it but I'm seeing Les Claypool and I'm saving up for PJ right now sooooo... yeah.

    Have fun in Albany, it's a cool town to visit if you never have... If you're into vinyl you should check out Last Vestage on Quail Street. ... have not been there in years so not sure if it's still in operation... should be though...

    Well I saw them 3 times the last leg Jan/Feb.. they were FUCKING AWESOME. I loved it, singing along rocking out. Great times.. I can't wait for Albany.

    Well, we're not there yet. In two weeks we'll be there!! :D

    My younger son plays a lot of Metallica songs by ear. I couldn't keep him from going unless I was a cruel mom. (Which I'm not!!!) ;)

    Im going to this show as well! This will be my second time seeing them at the Times Union Center (aka Pepsi arena, Knickerbocker Arena). First time was great with godsmack as the opener.

    Its still in operation i was just there last week while in Albany for the EV shows. They had no PJ records which was very upsetting.

    I was there a few weeks ago and the only PJ they had was the remastered Ten and a bootleg that I can't remember the name of right now. It's the red vinyl of a live show. Pretty pathetic that I can't remember the name especially since I bought it. :|

    As for Metallica I passed up on buying tickets when they still had decent ones available. I thought about it and I'm sure it will be a good show, but I have spent too much on shows this summer and didn't want to see them that bad. We still have a chance at getting a couple tix from a family member at the TU. If that falls through I won't be heartbroken.

    edit: 5 Alive is the name of the bootleg!
