I was listening to Double Nickles On the Dime, and then I thought, hey it would be cool to start a Mike Watt thread

I really wanted to see his show when he was in town a few weeks ago but I had tix to another show already (just next door even!), and he was done by the time we got out. :/

I always enjoy when the random fIREHOSE song comes up on shuffle.

I used to book bands at the bar I worked at in college. I'd get fIREHOSE in as much as possible, always a great show. Haven't seen him play live for a long time though.

This thread has reminded me to push the Minutemen DVD (We Jam Econo) to the top of my netflix queue...
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I bought Ball Hog Or Tugboat? last month, and my god, its brilliant!!!

Must get my hands on some firehorse, the guy plays bass the way i wish i could, and writes songs on that instrument the way i wish i could. He's a bonafide hero.

I got to see fIREHOSE back in '93 at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit...right up front next to Watt. Great show.

I've always been partial to Flyin' the Flannel, but all their stuff is great.

Ball Hog is a great disc too.
