Oh my god!

I finally listened to all of the Mars Volta albums in a row, and the one that stood out was this 'live' one scabdates, i can't stop listening to it, especially - Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt. Don't quite get why it is split up into 3 parts, is it the same on De-loused in the Crematorium? I think the version of scabdates is sung a million times better on Scabdates than De-loused, just another example as to why live music is mostly better than studio ;p

Also im guessing the Pt tracks at the end are only on that album? was it an improv or what?

I have all the mars volta albums except scabdates.

They are VERY good live though so I have no doubt that the sound on scabdates is probably awesome.

Not overly impressed with their latest offering that leaked. Although i only listened to it a couple times and it usually takes more then that to "get" a mars volta album.

love this album it almost manages to capture the awesome spectacle that is a mars volta show. and I always thought of the part1-4 tracks at the end as a continuation/jam on Cicatriz but if memory serves part IV is a strange mix of bits of other mars volta shows and band members talking etc.
