What a brilliant song. Lyrics are repeated throughout the song, but what an intense song! With what sounds like a banjo and strings as well.

"Used to be one of the rotten ones and I liked you for that, now your all gone, got your makeup on and your not coming back"

Hell of a song. BSS would be a mindblowing band if this was their only song, but we all know their whole catalogue, and every side project, whether its Stars or solo stuff, its all perfect.

    I saw them this October...

They hit the stage at 8:45, everyone was thinking 'what the fuck, why so early?'... They played until 11:30... Plus I met Kevin Drew before the show... It was amazing. I've seen MANY Arts and Crafts/offshoot bands. Stars was good when I saw them once... and they blew the second time. Metric has been amazing all 4 times I've seen them, and Jason Collet is fun.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

yeah, those guys are one of my top bands right now, i wish they would release a new proper full band album soon. the 3 and a half they put out were all phenomenal, epsecially bss and you forgot it in people. the latter is one of the greatest albums of all time, too bad more people don't know about it.

That is the song that got me into BSS. It's an incredible song.

    Anthems <3

I've seen them 6 times in the past 5 years or so... I love them dearly... I usually say they're my favorite band behind PJ.

They're going into the studio this summer to record a new album.

Anthems really helped me out during a terrible break up about 3 years ago.

Yeah, some people just don't get this song. I never thought I would like a song like it, but that album in particular is just amazing. Saw them in October as well, and looking forward to seeing them at Rothbury again.

I saw them right after they released their self-titled album and they ended their set with it's all gonna break... it was intense and epic and earthshaking... they played Anthems earlier in that set... I believe Emily Haines was there that night to sing it.
