Poison’s ‘Knockout’ Performance At Tonys

Everything was going as planned as Poison rocked the opening of last night’s Tony Awards, held at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. That is, until Bret Michaels missed his mark and got clobbered by a piece of the set.

The band was wrapping up its performance of “Nothin’ But A Good Time” when a descending set piece landed on Michaels’ head, knocking him to the stage floor.

Tonys spokeswoman Christina Stejskal said Michaels “missed his mark.” Rumors of Michaels suffering a broken nose from the incident were not confirmed.

Poison appeared on the annual awards program honoring Broadway’s best because the band’s music is featured, among other 1980s bands such as Journey, in the hit musical “Rock of Ages.”

    Poison (along with JET and Buckcherry) is a better band than Pearl Jam. Poison would never record an album like riot act.

    I'm watching the new Iron Maiden DVD "Flight 666" in my man-cave, by the way. They are finishing up Powerslave and they are flat-out ruling.
