I am both an academic, who has written several academic books, chapters and/ or articles. Besides this I also wrote fiction. (All in Dutch though.) And one of my trademarks is: that PJ is always mentioned once. Could be a song in the background; as long this song is interconnected with the theme of the book. As of now I have published 14 books. The 15th will appear this year. Besides all this, from my academic background, I am a member of the advisory board in the European Union and than more specifically about human rights, refugees etc. (And I am very displeased with the current affairs right now.) I teach at the University. My speciality is mass violence, identity politics, genocide, tribalism, extremism, radicalization etc. All the topics you dont want to discuss during Christmas. My lates book deal with identty politics and how this can escelate into violence.
