Can anyone fill me in on this one last night? Was the full intro played? Did it sound half as good live or ten times better? Curious cause this is my fav song off the album so far, and damnit they better break it out in Albany or Hartford :D
Where do i go to soothe my head? Guess i'll turn on music instead.

I am super busy at work. But it was an amazing show. This weekend, I'll take some time to write more details but,

    Inside Job details:
Ed introduced the song saying it was the first time they were going to play it live
Played with a green laser show and smoke
    No Piano to be heard
Ed's voice was more powerfull than on the CD
    Mike played a double guitar
Crowd went nuts when the drums kicked in.

There were no flaws. It was perfect. Ed said somethng to Mike after the song ended and then Matt started the drums of Why Go.

No piano though? That's my favourite part of the intro!

I couldn't hear it. Boom was doing something up there, but I don't know what. I was in the 30th row on Jeff's side of the Floor, so not the greatest view.

ahh ok, just hope the piano is used during the tour. Still a great song though.

I think boom was playing on inside job. It was strange though, almost sounded like something was out of tune, but i think it was the piano that i was hearing, although i could be wrong. same kinda deal with comeback as i recall. Like i said though, there was alot of noise, so i could very well be wrong. we'll know for sure with the bootleg i guess...

I'd say 10 times better would be pretty accurate. It was frickin awesome!

I know Boom was playing, but you really couldn't hear it...truly I couldn't really hear him on any of the songs (not the worst thing, although I do enjoy him on some songs).

    Peace

ya i thought boom was mixed too low. i was fairly close and i couldn't hear the piano introduction at all...which was a real shame cause that's like one of the coolest parts of that whole song

i didn't expect this song at all. the version was perfect. mike was thanked.

last night was ALL about mike, for me :)

Last night was Mike's first anniversery. They tried to coax his wife on stage. Most of the night was about Mike. Inside Job was introduced as wriiten by Mike....

Boom was mixed very low and not just for Inside job, but the whole show. We will see what adjustments are made tonight

Dopey Boy, who was Ed talking about in your Sig?

    San Diego - 06/05/03

    ** from Five Horizons **

"Ed returns for the second encore alone and talks a bit about Jewel and how if he messes up a lyric, it is because he is so highly anticipating her new record release. He goes on about how one of her songs will be part of a commercial for ladies' razors or a feminine hygiene product and how exciting that is because he won't have to buy it, he can just watch TV and wait for the commercial. He talks about PJ's best commercial offer that was for Viagra. "It was a singing penis ... a little singing cock singing I'm still alive. Six million dollars we turned down to prevent our song from being sung by a cock."

Ah i didn't know this, this would explain the somewhat abnormal, stellar setlist

This is just what I wanted to hear that night. They played it perfectly, as they often do the first time they play a song live.
