Sorry but, this is the only real answer!
One of those albums reminds me of Moving Pictures, half stone cold classic material and half filler.
Son, drugs are bad for you!
I guess not quite half. Going Mobile, My Wife, The Song Is Over and Love Ain’t For Keeping just don’t stack up to the rest of the album.

If that had been the PJ option, I would have chosen it.

I also think that the poll is lacking because of no Led Zeppelin option! :)

I know the main songs but have never listened to any of their albums.

Whatever, go listen to riot act.

Geez, let’s keep it respectful people.

I was more taken aback by the Moving Pictures dig lol!

I'd argue that Vs. packs as good or better a 1-2 punch w/ Vitalogy than it does w/ Ten :coffee:

A few other 1-2s to add to those already mentioned:
Public Enemy: ITANOMTHUB ---> Fear of a Black Planet
The Black Crowes: SHAMC ---> Amorica
The National: High Violet ---> Trouble Will Find Me
Jason Isbell: Southeastern ---> Something More Than Free
Rolling Stones: pick 'em...Beggars/Let It Bleed/Sticky/Exile
Radiohead: Ok Computer ---> Kid A

I've never understood the love for the National as "great" albums/great music.  The music is good but it never made me want to jump up and down.  It's like Joy Division, great music but you aren't raving up and down to it...

    Pearl Jam: Ten/Vs

This would be the correct answer

Some great alternative options mentioned already (the Black Crowes pair is a great shout). I would add:

The Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen / Black Love
Mark Lanegan - Whiskey For The Holy Ghost / Scraps at Midnight
Mark Lanegan - Field Songs / Bubblegum
Neil Young - Sleeps With Angels / Mirrorball
Counting Crows - August and Everything After / Recovering The Satellites
    Elliott Smith - Either/Or / XO
Faith No More - Real Thing / Angel Dust

Nobody has brought up Jane's Addiction: Nothing's Shocking and Ritual de lo Habitual.

A fine two albums that have the 'timeless' quality as well. Nothing's Shocking is one of my all time faves.

I agree on the 2 Counting Crow albums and any of the Led Zep combos.

For Jethro Tull I would say Warchild/Songs From The Wood.

Nice pick, that is tough to beat.  Axis is (for my money) one of the best records ever made.  Putting the cans on and dropping the needle for Axis still is exciting, to me.
I'm with you.  If I had to chose one over the other (well, OK, that would be a painful "would you rather"!), I would have to go with Axis.  Thankfully, I will never have to make that choice.

Excellent choice!  Two of my favorite Neil's!

nice list but I personally would replace Blink and guns n roses with Metallica- Master/Justice for all and probably Soundgarden- Superunknown and Down on the upside

    Badmotorfinger/Superunknown would suit my tastes.

    Feel excited, not ashamed.
Four really amazing albums are there for you.
I didn't get in to them until late high school. Led Zep BBC sessions is probably my favorite album. I listened to that a ton my senior year.

I think this is an impossible choice that for me would vary based upon my mood. Other people have brought a ton of album combos I also find great, but what I do know is that I am thankful for these amazing artists and their music. Now, I am going to start spinning some of these back to back :)

I'm actually jealous. If there was 4 albums that I could totally forget and listen to again for the first time to discover their utter genius, then those 4 wouldn't be too far from the top of my list.

    Few more suggestions:

Zep 4 > Houses of the Holy
Sticky Fingers > Exile on Main Street (Stones)
    Achtung Baby > Zooropa (U2)
On The Beach > Tonight's The Night (Neil)
